ok we drafted 2 SF and traded for a sg, unless TT comes back strong, our frontline is still suspect. We only have Biz, Mullens, TT and DJA. Plus worst case scenario, we probably be forced to play Diop. Plus is UPS on the out. I know it is still premature but just wondering about the outcome.

i think we need to sign a Power Foward on Free Agency or a trade

At risk of losing all credibility (as if I have much), I'm going to be positive about TT this coming year. A gunning team suits him and with good teaching, he may finally realize his talent. He'll likely still be way over payed, but we're paying regardless of whether he's good or bad. White and Brown can be o.k. backups. I'd like to get a rugged big and another point guard who is a solid distributor for our young guys. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy about this coming season. Low expectations, but we should be a much better team.

A lot will ride on Tyrus. He's not going anywhere, so we have to hope Dunlap can get the most out of him. If he really did put on twenty pounds like his agent claims, I think that's a step in the right direction.

I would predict:

Starters:

Kemba
Hendo
MKG
Tyrus
Bismack

Bench:

Gordon
Williams
Mullens
White
Taylor

Towel Boys:

Diop
Carroll

Hard to predict any trades and free agents, but something has to happen. We need a point guard, and a defensive center desperately. I don't think we bring Brown back, and god forbid Higgins is a Bobcat.

I'm hoping for the same thing for TT also. I'm thinking he will play better than last season. He has time to heal, obviously he has been putting on weight. Let hope he had exorcise his demons

I hope our FO takes a chance on Machado. Would be a really nice backup PG, especially over Higgins.

I can't help but get the gut feeling that Dunlap can reach Tyrus. Always easier to be optimistic in the offseason.

Cho's comments on free agency:

Cho said the Bobcats still have needs to fill and will do so in free agency.
"We can always use some big men and some size in the backcourt also,'' said Cho. "Those are probably our two most pressing needs.''

I doubt we break the bank of a big man, but I am glad they will address the front court.

Looking at your lineups (although I'm sure it will change a little bit through free agency), the starters would be a very fast, athletic bunch that Dunlap can get running up and down the court, and has potential to be a very good defensive team. Now scoring wise......ehhh

The bench unit with Gordon, Williams, Mullens, and Taylor is the exact opposite, as they could be a great three point shooting unit that can stretch the floor. Now defensively.....ehhh

Still need a post presence that could at least manufacture buckets close to the rim, kinda like Nazr was when we first got him.

Not sure we bring DJ White back either...I liked him, but it'll really depend on his contract demands. Going with 2 SFs I think UPS is no longer on this team, but as Thundercats mentioned the first team looks to be a great defensive team, but offensively I can't see them scoring more than 50-55 PPG consistently. The 2nd string the only player that can play defense is Jeffery Taylor and I personally hope Taylor sees time over Reggie Williams. Diop & Carroll, if they play in more 25 games next season they ought to throw a parade.

Realistically I hope we go hard after a starting PF like Ersan İlyasova or Kris Humphries. Amnesty Tyrus Thomas (Diop has a big expiring contract that may get you something at the deadline) and use that money on Ilyasova or Humphries, guys who can realistically start and be effective

Think you hit the nail on the head with Ilyasova. Jamison may be the fall back if they don't get him, but a stretch 4 makes sense with our starting lineup.

Just saw on Twitter that Farmar is opting out. Would love to have him to backup kemba for the right price. Assuming we let DJ walk.

I'd be interested in either Kwame or Jamison for our bigs.

I think we could get Kwame for sure. I would love to have jamison but i worry he goes to a contender to chase his last shot at a ring.

I agree on this one...I know he said he wanted to close out his career in Charlotte, but the lure of a title can sometimes be much stronger...

Farmar opted out? Damn, "my" plan was to get him from Brooklyn.

Early prediction...DJ takes the QO and is part of the 12-13 squad.

I'm not hearing much from other teams on Augustin, I'm beginning to expect him back, definitely with the way the players and Dunlap have mentioned both him and Kemba in almost every interview...not sure if they let him start or not, with so much invested in Kemba and him being more marketable, I'm betting Kemba is the way they go though. I like DJ as the better PG, but If the team truly believes Kemba is the "point guard of the future" they may look at a sign and trade if any team is interested

I am curious if we have plans to use Gordon as a b/u PG as well as a SG, as in his Observer interview he talked about having played PG before and thinks of himself as a combo guard. Taylor can also b/u at SG. Having guys capable of playing multiple positions is important, especially on a running team.
Our alleged pursuit of Eric Gordon is interesting too... I think we're just gauging interest from various FA's at this point. No way I see him agreeing to come here, plus N.O. says they'd match any offer...

i like the combo of Hendo and Gordon, they will score us alot of points between them over the course of the season. I think we need a big PG (Livingston is ideal) to backup Kemba and a PF
