How big of an asset is Brown now that we have MKG and Taylor?

To us, not as much...but for $1M, it's a bargain and will be attractive to another team that might allow us to make a bigger move. All about having the assets on hand when a deal presents itself.

Brown's kind of a 3-4 tweener that is nice to have around. He's one of the few guys we have that bring a lot of energy off the bench. He's not indispensable and I wouldn't consider him a significant asset, but he's a nice role player that shouldn't be terribly expensive. He's a believer in the team too: after we waived him last year to make room for traded players, he rejoined us after a brief stint with the Knicks. Good guy.

Glad we are keeping Brown. I feel like he is a good role player and a good value. You end up going small a lot to match up so I don't think minutes will be a major issue. Besides if the guy making 1 mil doesn't get many minutes one night it isn't that big of an issue and you never know when someone is going to get hurt.
For 1.1 million, it makes sense to extend the qualifying offer to Brown. He'll add depth, and all of us love his energy, even if he does play outside his limits occasionally.
Augustin is a no-brainer as well, although I still doubt he's with us next year. I just feel someone will offer him more than we are willing to pay.

I really want to see Augustin's ceiling, however, I feel like he won't reach it here in our situation. I feel like he's not at his ceiling and could use a nice vet to mentor him. If we had other guys around him I'd honestly take him over Kemba but since we really don't I think it's time to give Kemba the keys. If you want Augustin to thrive, either get him a vet mentor, or get him guys to work with on offense.

Remember Brown can play some 4 and I am sure TT (If he is still with us) will go through his fair share of vagina injuries.

I haven't read or heard of a single team interested in DJ.
Maybe now that DWill is staying in Brooklyn the dominoes will start to fall.
From a PG perspective
George Hill staying in Indy
Deron Williams staying in Brooklyn
Nash has suitors
Dragic has suitors
Kidd has suitors
Lin has suitors
Sessions, Felton & J Nelson are available as well.
Calderon may be available via amnesty if Nash goes to Toronto
Its not looking good for DJ, My guess is DJ will not sign a tender with any other team and will play out the last year of his contract here in Charlotte.
Hopefully we can move him at the deadline for a future 1st to a playoff team that is desperate. (basically the same trade that we did to land Tyrus)

I think DJ will get an offer or two. Still plenty of time for people to access needs as free agents continue to land.

I see him getting an offer or two but, clearly not at the $ he thinks he's worth. Bonnell said that he turned down an offer the Cats offered ( that the team thought was slightly above market value)
I think DJ is wanting 7 per year and I don't see anyone offering him that amount

Has anyone heard anything on DJ? I've searched around but nothing yet. No interest anywhere. Maybe he's 2nd or 3rd tier? Still I thought he'd be visiting someone by now.

I'm guessing that a few of the top pgs are going to go first and then you'll start hearing offers for DJ. But who knows. Could be another Landry Fields deal for him tomorrow.
