Anthony Davis suffered a severely sprained ankle in a Hornets workout and almost assuredly is unable to play for Team USA, sources tell Y!

Wish him well recovering but do wonder how much the down time will affect his readiness come season's open for the Hornets.

Realized this is probably an around the league type of post, mods please move at your discretion. Apologies.

Makes you wonder if there is going to be a predisposition to injury. I hope not for his sake. But you have to wonder about a human body growing so much so fast as happened to him. Still, I just want MKG to stay healthy and strong. Will be some bad juju for anyone out there who gloats over an injury, so lets make sure no one at BCP gloats over this news.

I read that as more they don't want AD playing so this is an easy bullshit reason to keep him out of the Olympics.

It would be Ironic if this turns out to be Oden/Durant 2.0

From New Orleans' perspective, the best outcome is: very little if any playing time with the USA team, but he gets to see the players and coaching at such a high level, feel the hunger, learn from the best of the best, etc.

With the recent run of bad luck for the #1 pick with injuries (Blake Griffin, Greg Oden), I would only want him playing ball competitively when it's completely necessary.

Spraining an ankle isn't indicative of anything other than he plays basketball and that happens all the time.
