Mods feel free to move, but its hard going through 33 pages to find out who everyone likes so I decided to make a thread. If there was one on a different page Im sorry because I honestly just looked on the first page!
Realistically, who is on your FA wishlist and why? Let's all assume we are not going to go after a MAX player this year and we are going to continue on this path through the draft.
PG:
Machado if not picked up by someone.
Heard that Shaun Livingston might be let go and would love to have him back
SG:
Terrence Williams but I dont see this position as one of need
SF:
None
PF:
JJ Hickson - I really like this one but dont see it happening
Jason Thompson - Another possibility that I like
Ersan Ilyasova - Might be a little overpriced
Jamison - Role model and teacher
C:
Hamed Haddadi - probably inexpensive
Spencer Hawes - probably too expensive but I feel would be a great fit
Hasheem Thabeet: bust but will be cheap and could turn into something but doubtful

Keep Thabeet away from Charlotte, we have enough project bigs...I like Jason Thompson though and I think he could start right away. Hickson would be nice to have come home, be cheaper, but I've heard GS is the favorite for him right now. Ilyasova I think will be more expensive than Cho & MJ will want to pay, but we'll see.
As for the PG choices, Machado is on the Rockets summer league team so he's off the market..Livingston should come cheap, but I wouldn't give him more than a year or so...and right now haven't heard any interest in DJ yet, might be better to sit and wait on that position.
EDIT: Jordan Farmar expected to be bought out by Hawks now that he's been traded...man could be a good backup to Kemba if DJ isn't brought back

PG:
I also like Livingston, he'll bring size to the PG position and played,
did you see how I underlined the word 'played' cause he actually did play, good this season.
Ish Smith is another player I really like, don't know why, but he'll be an improvement compared to Higgins.
Adding 2 Point guards won't be necessary if they re-sign Augustin.
SG:
No need for signing a SG
SF:
No need for adding a SF either. We got 3 talented young men in Brown,
Kidd-Gillchrist, and Taylor, but it won't do any harm if the Bobcats could sign a guy like Jamison.
PF:
J.J. Hickson is the player to get at the PF position, he played his college ball in Charlotte,
and Portland recently declined his player option of $4.4M.
I don't think we'll get him for that money though, the Warriors are also interested.
If we fail to get Hickson, the next ones we should get after are Thomson, and Craig Smith.
C:
We need to get BIG at the 5 spot, cause we only got 1,3 players who are 7 feet,
and 0,8 of them is Byron Mullens, who's game is mostly around the 3-point line.
With this in mind the obvious choices are Thabeet,
and the person who I wanted to see in a Bobcats uniform again ever since he was traded to the Mavs: Ryan Hollins.

PG - Jordan Farmar
PF - One of Hickson, Thompson, Jamison or Dorell Wright
UDFA's - PG - Stoglin, PF - Drew Gordon, C - Henry Sims
Let DJ & UPS walk and roll with these --
Walker/Farmar/Stoglin
Henderson/Ben Gordon/Taylor
MKG/Taylor/Williams/Carroll
Hickson/Tyrus/Drew Gordon
Biyombo/Mullens/Sims/Diop
Ridiculously young, athletic, inexperienced but exciting, and should keep us as in the bottom 5 of the league.

I have no specific players on my list, but I think we are in a position to take chances on guys like (off the top of my head) Thabeet and Flynn. We're, of course, not trying to make a playoff run next year so it's perfect to try to give these guys a chance and see if we can get some production out of them.

That's about it.

Just saw that Roger Mason Jr. is a free agent as well. even though he won't play much at the least he could give the young guards a few pointers

Eh, I don't think Mason brings anything to the table that Gordon doesn't already bring. I'd prefer a true point guard with some size.
Anybody 7' or over.......

My big 2 as well. Whenever DJ is signed, trade him to a team that cold use him with some assets (Houston or NO).

Point Guards- my number 1 choice is Aaron Brooks. After that anyone from Goran Dragic, Jeryd Bayless (although he plays a little bit too much like Kemba), or.....Gilbert Arenas would be good. Yeah I said it. He could be had for cheap. Orlando didn't play him. When he went to Memphis, his defense on Kevin Durant was something that people payed attention to. He is a veteran and has been humbled. He is working hard to stay in the league. Him and MJ go back to the Washington days. Let me be the first to advocate for it.
Power Forwards- Antwan Jamison, Jeremy Evans, Jason Thompson, or JJ Hickson.

He never gets chances to play but when he does he does things like this:

We could use another guy that isn't soft. He'd be cheap too.

The athleticism. It was preseason though if I remember correctly.
We all know he won the dunk contest. He's very similar to Derrick Brown. If we can't retain Brown, this is who I want to replace him.

I really think Felton would fit this team well . With hard noze defence and assist . I think i would rather sign him for three years at three per than resign DJ . Start Kemba and give Felton a chance to take his job. Im saying this assuming Felton is in decent shape?

A few players that i would take interest in are Ian Mahimni, JJ Hickson, Jordan Hill, Jason Thompson and Nick Young.

I like allmost all of these players (with the exception of Nick Young), especially Jeremy Evans. A lot of you guys compare him to Derrick Brown, and if you look at their offence, you are are right, cause both of them are just freakishly athletic. But I think Evans is more a 4 guy; he's a little taller, got larger arms, and i believe if he could add some weight he could be a good post-defender.

I think that is a little bit unrealistic considering only twelve players in the entire league averages those numbers, and only one of them is a free agent this summer: Tim Duncan.

Ilyasova is also not coming here. We're not even in pursuit of him. That dream is over. On to the next

While I do understand there are free agents that we want, or as the thread title suggests 'wish' for Cho to pursue, I think we've got to be realistic as to the current standing of our team.
We will be picking guys up on the 2nd & 3rd wave of free agency, not the 1st. If there are multiple suiters with good roster situations, then we aren't going to be in the running. I think we're going to have to be patient and wait for things to play out a bit before we should build our hopes up on certain (Dragic, Ilyasova ...) players.
I hope I'm wrong and we get one of these guys without overpaying, but I doubt it. Still we're looking good (relatively speaking) at the 2 & 3 in terms of quality and depth. Jamison signing here would really settle things down at the forward spots. Just a bigger PG & another Big (while always keeping a roster spot free!) and we're looking fairly well set and balanced.

Unless our FO sees anyone worthwhile in Summer League, the only guy I can see us signing at this point is Jamison.

One of Jamison/Hickson/Thompson for PF, and Farmar as our back up PG. kind of underwhelming considering the Eric Gordon, Dragic and Beasley rumors, but I wasnt expecting much from this FA class. Let's get it done and hit the SL.

Anybody know the policy on signing D-League players in the off season lol? I'd seriously be interested in us going after some of the top players that would fill our needs. (everything, but still) Not saying we can sign a star, but we can sign some solid, hardworking guys. We could get the next Linsanity...you never know. haha

If there is indeed a star hidden in the D-league, I'm certain Rich Cho does already know who he is.
But keep in mind though, the transition from the D-league to the NBA doesn't go smoothly for everyone.

I doubt it. Most of the top d-league players that pan out usually have rights to other teams. Usually not looked at to be contributing players. Not saying all though. Its definitely possible.
You're missing the point of what I'm saying anyway. If there's a time to take a chance and experiment...its now.

I think Anthony Randolph would be a solid pick up. He's 6'11 very talented and he's only 23 years old. We can get him pretty cheap and he still has potential.

I don't know what I should think of Anthony Randolph, he's putting up some decent numbers, but he has been on three different teams. And I have the feeling that everytime he plays a good game, the team ends up losing. Think he'll stay put though, Minny already lost Beasley, and unless they sign another PF they'll probably resign Randolph.
he is one of my favorite players on NBA Live (as part of the '10 Warriors)

I liked Randolph when he came out for his upside, but I feel like his perceived ceiling/potential screams Tyrus 2.0. Wouldn't be mad if we got him on the super duper cheap, but other than that, meh. It's one of those contracts that you'll regret in a couple of years if he doesn't pan out.

We should hold a press conference and vow to match any offers Derrick Brown receives, and make a really big deal about it. Just to make everyone else in the league watch us for a bit.

Thats my point. We could get him really cheap and only for one year. Look what OKC just did, signed a bust (Thabeet) for 2 years to try and develope him. Randolph has more talent than Tyrus.

That's great...where did you get that? I know he gained weight but that's all I've see about him.
QC Kat has it right...look for under the radar CHEAP FAs. Bargain types. As everyone knows Cho is an understudy of Presti; who was their first retail FA signing or a high dollar trade that didn't bring back additional assets after they started their rebuild?
