Thanks man! Speaking of taylor.Has anyone noticed how freakin high he gets off the ground when he shoots.I noticed it yesterday against cleveland when he came across the middle of the lane and took that shot right around the free throw line. And then this morning i looked on the teams official page and the second picture under the summer league gallery shows a still pic of him pulling up in practice and he is WAY off the ground.I knew he could jump, but damn! Outside of durant he might end up up being the hardest wing in basketball to block.

Sorry, Westbrook. I think that's the announcer and not the player.

False advertising!

Few of Bonnell's comments:

Henderson probably has the best job security. He and Kemba biggest locks to start.

Kemba is the man at pg. Dunlap has given him the green light.

Mullens looks like a different player, paying much more attention to what he needs to do on defense.

MKG may not start (90% he will), but he'll play starters minutes.

Jeff Taylor was compared to Battier by Dunlap. Bonnell gave very high praise for him.

Tyrus is too young and paid to right off. His agent has been training him seriously. Probably going to be around.

Wouldn't be surprised if Diop is amnestied by deadline tomorrow.

Landry is the backup plan (already been talks) if Jamison chooses LA or Brooklyn.

Do either of these guys (Taylor/Mark) watch NBA games? Or at least our games?

Are you talking about the Gordon comment?

I understand the need, timeline-wise, on Diop, but I don't understand why we'd do it unless we needed the cap-space. We don't need the cap-space for anything we are talking about right now do we? Seems like it would be odd/poor choice to use the Amnesty clause to just free up a roster spot (why not just cut the guy when need be if that's all we're doing)??

I just want to point people to this interview from Saturday with Landry: http://www.hoopsworld.com/landry-looking-for-right-fit-in-free-agency

In it he is quoted to say "“I definitely want to win,” Landry said. “I want to play for a team that wants to go to the playoffs. That’s my goal when I’m on a team: to go to the playoffs, try to go as far as I can and hopefully win a championship"

So if that is our back up plan... were fu*ked!

Why would MKG not start?

Yes, that and the 7000 word thesis of what's wrong w/ Kemba. Honestly, when Marque began that meandering sentence, I zoned out and didn't pick back up until "being served notice" w/ the Ramon Sessions pickup.

Think the comment was more of a hedge than it might read above. He seemed to have had to work way too hard to convince Dingus and Blather that Yes, Kemba is actually starting and Yes, Gerald Henderson is actually starting and .... ok, fine "90% chance" MKG is starting --- that's at least how I heard it.

Landry is also gonna want to go where he can play.He has a chance to start here.No way he starts over lee.All guys say the same things in free agency, that money is not the most important thing and that they just wanna win, but most of them are very quick to change their tune when someone can offer more minutes or money.i think jamison actually is the exception because his family lives here year round and he has talk about being here for years.

Agree, that's how I'd interpret too. 90% is pretty close to a sure thing.

Yeah, I hate that we'd use it on Dip rather than use it as a safety for Thomas. But look at it this way: after this season, his trial, he only has two years left on the contract. Assuming he isn't a distraction, he can at least get some rebounds and hustle stats for an addition season, and then trade him as an expiring. We can always negotiate a buy-out if things get terrible. It sounds like his agent is trying to right the ship, which hopefully get it into Thomas's head that he has to do better on and off the court to continue to get big paychecks.

I'm not a GM, but Cho usually knows what he's doing, so if he intends to use the amnesty this year, I figure he has a plan and a good reason. Landry has a more well-rounded game than Humphries, IMO, and is likely to be cheaper...
I'd say Dunlap wants his rooks to EARN their stripes on the court; not gonna just hand them a starting job. IF Thomas really IS getting it, that could greatly improve our W column this year. That's been a troublesome position for us...

Offensively Landry is more polished, however he is no where near as good a rebounder, shotblocker or defender as Humphries is + Landry is a bit undersized

Confession...i dislike Rick Bonnell. His sense of humor/sarcasm sucks and he thinks hes more "in the know" than he actually is. He made you all believe the Cats were gonna pick T-Rob.. then when they picked neither people were mad on here about it. Then he carried on like he knew it would be MKG. I will stick with David Aldridge, Sekou Smith and Chris Broussard for my NBA news, lol. All i care about is my Bulls, the Bobcats and Thunder anyway..

No disrespect to those on here that swear by the guy..

Bonnell seems to be on point with breaking Bobcats news recently though and I feel like I see him get retweeted by major national news dudes more than most other beat writers, which is impressive considering he follows, you know, the Bobcats.

The Observer has been putting out a bunch of articles lately and I know I've enjoyed reading most of them.

Also, only reason I could see bringing MKG off the bench is because MKG/Ben Gordon make a good wing combo and Henderson/Jeff Taylor make a good wing combo, at least on paper; however, I have an idea the team will want MKG's intensity right from the opening tip.

Rick has really been on point lately and I appreciate the Observer sending him to Vegas; I know he doesn't go on the road for every game anymore with them cutting the budget, but this coverage has been excellent.
