fort wayne is boring, nothing interesting there. Indiana just really likes non-professional basketball and the d league is like high school ball for people too old for high school

I will always unfortunately be associated with this as I was behind the bench during the filming at halftime of a Knicks game in '09. In this feed, you can't slow it down enough (thankfully) but at :20 I'm there in my Carolina tee. Still waiting on my SAG renewal form.
OT: I'll still wear my Red Claws shirt proudly. Portland>Fort Wayne

My friend brett that i grew up with was actually on that show for awhile. He moved to L.A. since then and did some baseball movie with the guy who played rudy(sean aston scott?) We saw allot of those guys when i hung out with him in wilminton. The whole cast were very nice people.I'm pretty pissed that they are moving our affiliate though, cause i'm actually in the process of trying to move to portland, maine in the next year.It would have been nice to have some local ties.

wonder how much CW (if it was on that network at the time) had to pay to get that whole thing done on a game day.

I'm not sure they had to. the Bobcats usually have to pay for a halftime show. So they probably just said, give us a shout out on air and you can do it free. Still probably the most entertaining halftime show I've seen, even if it was unintentionally entertaining. I laugh everytime I think of Big Pat yelling NATHAN SCOTT!! and seeing a guy circle the actor 13 times like it was a Jon Woo film. ... Actually I take that back. Red Panda is better than 17 takes of cheesy acting any day.

hmm I can imagine it being kind of funny like when they filmed the goal films at a live "soccer game" and I actually kind of like OTH ... feel like an ass now.

no dont feel like an ass. I was going to put a caveat on that post .... that I have never seen a single minute of the show and wasn't making fun of it. Just that scene being filmed was both hilarious and bizarre. Any show that represents the Bobcats in a positive light is cool with me.

Would be nice to have a NBA D-League team in Myrtle Beach that can have on our own affiliation. How about the Myrtle Beach Pirates? Myrtle Beach Sharks? Any ideas?

I was thinking one on Raleigh or something would be pretty successful

Guess that would make sense because of Charlotte playing a game in October vs Miami there.
