Don't get me wrong, I'd love to make the playoffs every year, shoot, I'd love to win it all every year, but coming off the season we had last year, we can only hope for gradual improvement.

This. We have a lot of promising youth that will eventually equate to an exciting core of talent, but if you're expecting a playoff bid in 2012-13, you will probably be disappointed come late April. I will eat crow if we make it, but we are a defensive team that is lacking offensive output across the board. We've looked good in the SL because our squad is primarily sophomore-seniors at the collegiate level. Put this team up against men that have been in the league for 3-10 years and it's a much different ball game. I'm thinking 20-25 wins would be about where we're at.... just my opinion.

If we can pull off a Diop for Landry S&T with the Hornets, that's likely our Bobcat dozen. Dunlap would figure out who starts; not even gonna speculate. Playoffs THIS year? Very unlikely, IMO. Just too raw... If we play great D and stay healthy, I could see 30 W's and just short of the playoffs...

this is what team i would go for with with Kemba, Hendo, MKG and Biz all starting. We have a solid bench with the likes of Sessions, Gordon, Taylor, Mulley and Haywood

Finishing around that range makes it very difficult to continue the rebuilding process through the draft. I think Indiana was the 9th seed maybe three straight years and when they finally did make the playoffs they were an 8. They finally got some flexibility with the cap after all of those crappy Golden State trade contracts came off the books.

if they run this first team vs. the second team in practice, it could make both sides pretty good (in the terms of what we are working with).

In my opinion, cap flexibility is more important than any minor upgrades we can get on the free agent market at this moment (aka Carl Landry). I'm definitely in support of just signing one year or team option deals, hopefully around the league minimum, for whatever else the team needs, as well as bringing up D-League guys.
