So Morrison got chants for MVP in Vegas

He has been absolutely tearing it up in Summer league and has done nothing wrong (apart from calling the Clippers the Lakers:banghead:)

I really hope this guy lands on an NBA roster, he has had a horrible career and for him I want him to land in a good situation... I just hope we don't give him a training camp invite, we are like to pieces of the same puzzle, but they dont fit so lets not try and put us together

Yeah, you've got to respect a guy who is hustling to get on an NBA team. A lot of other guys would have been content playing professionally for free beer and some ladies. Adam seems to genuinely want to make the most of his career. Good luck to him.

I think he could be a decent fit for an invite to Charlotte, not that I expect it to happen...

1. At the "3", we only have two players and they are rookies. One of them(Taylor) will probably be more of a "2" when it is all said and done. Jeff has subpar length for 6'7", but we know he's a great athlete and shooter. And MKG could probably guard "2's" as well.

2. In Charlotte, Adam would be surrounded by athletes who can help cover his rear on defense(MKG, Biyombo, Taylor, maybe Henderson and Tyrus).

3. Adam Morrison coming back to Charlotte and contributing 15 minutes a night would make a great story. Charlotteans are mostly a polite bunch. I think the fans would be rooting for him.

4. He's about to turn 28, but for all we know, he hasn't played that much since he was 24. Perhaps his body is in decent condition despite the diabetes.....

5. Counterpoint: if Dunlap preaches "defense defense defense", I doubt he wants an Adam Morrison.

6. Counterpoint: Morrison does well in summer league, but does it translate to the league?

7. Counterpoint: Why give any minutes to a mediocre-to-bad 28-year-old when you can develop all of these guys aged 19-25??

Even if it looks a good fit on paper there is no way he would ever come back here, it would bring back too many bad memories IMO

IMO.....

Beggars can't be choosers, and he isn't 12. I like to think that he'd be mature enough to relish the opportunity to play in the NBA anywhere, including Charlotte. Also a chance at redemption. Larry Brown is long gone. Most of those players are long gone.

I wouldn't go out of the way to send him an invite, but if he didn't get invites from anywhere else, I'd jump on the opportunity.

I wouldn't start him or anything of course, but he could be one of those types of guys who the coach could tell "When you get in, look to score." If there's one thing he can do it's put the ball through the net. I watched him all summer league and honestly, offensively, he reminds me of a SG/SF version of Dirk.

If we are his only offer, of course he comes here no question. But I would say here and LA would be his last choices

Most of those players are long gone.

Everyone but Diop is gone. In fact, the only people even in the organization he'd know that are the same are MJ, Higgins, BJ Evans, Josh Rosen, Steve Stricker, Dennis Williams, Matt Rochinski and the Doctors and TV Crew.

That's a very, very short list. Amazing how much has changed in three years, huh?
