taken from a post by Ziggy, I thought it would be interesting to decide who is the all-time worst player to ever play here.

I placed my vote for Diop.
I can't recall one positive thing or one basketball skill that he has ever shown while in a Bobcats uniform.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Shawn May has my vote.
Sean* & plus May was a good player it's just he got into injury problems. We have people up here like Alexis who was a complete scrub anyway you look at it. I vote Lonny Baxter...

Jeff... for the sake of nostalgia.

I know he didn't play for us much, but do you all not remember Eric Williams short tenure with us? He shot random 3s, couldnt guard anyone, couldn't rebound....it was just oh my.
Diop is terrible, but atleast he can be a serviceable big on the defensive end. Ajinca had a FEW moments where he atleast looked like he had potential.
Eric Williams...he literally didn't do a single decent basketball play with us that I remember

Shawn May has my vote.
Sean wasn't bad at all. Hell, he actually had some really good games. His issue was he got hurt - then he got fat. Then the organization did the typical crappy thing of not doing much for helping him back on track other than looking at him funny.

I would have to say Jeff McInnis since he help contributed to the delay in Felton development as far as Ray running the show when he was here. He also Sam Vincent's point when he was here too..

How does Jamario Moon not even make the list?

Let's do this scientifically, using superb's list.
Augustin, Bell, Primoz, UPS, Kwame, Hammer, Chandler, Cunningham, Diaw, Dudley, Felton, Hart, Hendo, Fabio, Hughes, Jack, Kapono, Knight, Livingston, May, Nazr, Ammo, Flip, Eddie, Okafor, Ratliff, JRich, Tyrus, Crash, DJ White, and the rookies can be taken off that list for obvious reasons.
Lonny Baxter, Andre Brown, Sherron Collins, Dontell Jefferson, Linton Johnson, Dwayne Jones, Acie Law, Joel Przybilla, Sean Singletary, Tamar Slay, Garrett Temple, Jahadi Whitte, and Eric Williams, can be taken off because none of them played >200 minutes.
Malik Allen, Alan Anderson, Derek Anderson, Keith Bogans, Shannon Brown, Gana Diop, Othella Harrington, Eddie House, Juwan Howard, Cartier Martin, Jeff McInnis, Vladimir Radmanovic, and Steve Smith have either had 10+ year careers or enjoyed some sort of success.
Further scientific disqualifications:
-Earl Boykins because he's a midget.
-Jermareo Davidson because his nickname is awesome
-Melvin Ely because he's a pothead
-Dominic McGuire because, well, I don't know who the fuck he is
-Jake Voskuhl because he's too white to even be an NBA player
That leaves these 10
-Alexis Ajinça
-Cory Alexander
-Kevin Burleson
-Stephen Graham
-Ryan Hollins
-Jumaine Jones
-Bernard Robinson
-Kareem Rush
-Jamal Sampson
-Theron Smith
If I had to pick just one steaming pile of Bobcrap, it would have to be...
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_SsVrWi7boSQ/TD0oJ19HvcI/AAAAAAAAAFw/lWFRZwO0-uY/s1600/AlexisAjinca.jpg
because he was a complete waste of a 20th overall selection and has played like burnt ass chips for his entire career. Congratulations Lexy, you're terrible.

Ajinca had time to develop and had every chance to be a success and failed unlike a lot of those guys who tried really hard but just didnt have the skill set

Let me reiterate. The good lord has never created a professional basketball player with less talent and less ability than Gana Diop

I gotta go with Jahidi White. I've never seen a guy routinely pin himself on the rim or get blocked more than Jahidi in a Bobcat's uni.

which says nothing about whether he is the "worst player to ever don one". I'm saying that he's been a decent player in the past. Just because he was all crappy here doesn't mean he should get that title, especially considering there were players who played worse for us than Diop did

I look at it from the perspective that In a Bobcats uniform there has never been a worse player than Diop.
That places him squarely at the top of my worst all-time Bobcat list.

yeah but that's also not true, other players have played worse, in a bobcats uniform, than Diop. Diop at least rebounded the ball and blogged the lane

Its subjective, but if there was someone that played worse than him in a Bobcats uniform, I haven't seen it.
I honestly cannot remember one positive thing that he has done.
I went with Ajinca, but I wish I had gone with Diop. Ajinca sucked and was a big waste of a draft pick, but he's gone, we've moved on. Diop is a constant reminder of all the bad decisions our franchise has done.

Had to go with Linton "Lebron Stopper" Johnson. Lol, this list brings back some memories, wow....
In Diop's defense, there was a SHORT period of time he played well before he got hurt when Silas replaced LB. He actually was making some nice contributions. But outside of that, I just wonder how this guy started at center in the finals in 2006. Geez.
Isn't Linton the one who guarded LeBron the night that LB said they'd "draw straws" to determine who'd have that job?
The worst part about that free throw vid of Gana is that Steve Martin and Dell Curry weren't the least bit surprised that happened.
If this was the Biggest Disappointment in a Bobcat Uniform, I'd go Lexy. But simply the worst? Burleson, and it's not that close.

Andre Brown is really really really bad.
I watched him play in Perth for the Perth Wildcats, and he was absolutely terrible.
Shocking BBIQ, no clue whatsoever. Man he was bad.
However, it's a toss up between Diop and Ajinca for me. Diop is absolutely awful. Worst thing last season was seeing his fat ass run up and down the damn court. Reminiscent of the power glory days of the Incredible Bulk, aka Sean May. Ajinca had so much potential, but an absolutely terrible attitude and no clue on the basketball court. Stephen Graham and Dom Mcguire were also terribad, but they both tried and they killed off UPS's development time (seriously LB? Play Dom instead of UPS? Crazy old man).
Who wins?
I'll say Ajinca.

If this was the Biggest Disappointment in a Bobcat Uniform, I'd go Lexy. But simply the worst? Burleson, and it's not that close. Absolutely. Like I championed on the other thread and have always brought up when "worst Bobcat ever" is mentioned, Kevin Burleson is easily the worst. Maybe because he only played in a handful of games in Year One most of you don't even know/remember him, but he was attrocious. Like teej says, if you want to have a "Biggest Disappointment" list or a "Biggest Waste of Money" list or anything similarly contextualized, it would be someone else, but if you take out context, and just look at a guy playing basketball, Kevin Burleson is your man, fellas.

I'd go kevin burleson. And yes diop actually did come in late in some games when larry brown was here and got some good rebounds and blocked shots in limited minutes for a about a 2 or 3 month stretch.Tamar slay gets an honorable mention.

Voted Burleson for the obvious reason. Although shout out to Jamal Sampson and Alexis Ajinca.
I still remember the day of the Diop trade, everyone was saying how good of a move it was. :D Someone should find that thread.

For this vote, I will have to go with Sherron Collins. Alright, Alexis Ajinca...I agree, waste of a draft pick, but yet, the guy did well in the DLeague (at least tried to make a name for himeself). With his height and wingspan, I was a little excited when we picked him up. And DeSagana Diop...dude played at Oak Hill but AT LEAST the guy tried, well I think he did anyway...we all knew he was garbage though (hence the reason why everyone cheered when Diop made a point in a Bobcats uniform). But back to Sherron Collins....Didn't this undrated player make a spot on a NBA roster, whose team had no potential at all at the time maybe, was given a chance, and then by the time next season the team calls him up to return but the guy misses two plane flights to be apart of an NBA team...now that spells out LAZY ASS...How in the hell are you going to pass up an opportunity to play in the NBA when you've worked most of your life to get to that point?...That my friends, is the worst player in a Bobcats uniform.
I don't remember Linton Johnson. He's the only one I don't remember.

I really wanted to click Jeff McInnis, he'd be most hated though. Literally the worst though has to be Cory Higgins. I think I've read or seen a tweet claiming he's one of the worst in the last 20 years.
ok, winshares per 48: http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=1&p1=ajincal01&y1=2009&p2=higgico01&y2=2012&p3=burleke01&y3=2006&p4=diopde01&y4=2009
of course diop has a positive number over his career and the other 3 guys I picked basically have one season each to go off of. I mean as a bobcat, of course he sucks, definitely definitely sucks. let's keep rolling with this. Maybe a most hated, most disappointing, who knows.
