And Draft Cody Zeller With 1st Round Pick. Also resign Gerald Henderson.

PG:Kemba/Sessons
SG:Henderson/Gordon
SF:MKG/Taylor
PF:Smith/Mullens/Tyrus
C:Zeller/Haywood/Biz

We have the cap money to go after Smith and by adding Smith & Zeller our frontcourt would be set and imo I could see us being a top 5 team in the east we would have a great starting lineup and solid dept off the bench.

Career underachiever and headcase......no thanks....as much as i like his talent and skills when he wants to play the problem is that alot of times he doesnt want to play....and he will want the max..i will pass...we will prob only offer the max to 1 player with this current group... i would rather use that max $$ elsewhere...these are the guys i would want to spend the $$ on this summer ( i wouldnt give all of them the max )- David West / Paul Milsap / Al Jefferson / Carl Landry / JJ Hickson / Nickola Pekovic / Kevin Saraphin and there are some other much cheaper guys i would like to add to improve our roster

What you think about drafting Zeller?

i like Zeller....especially in this draft....bc this draft is 1 of the worst i have seen in years ...there are maybe 3 players max in this draft who are really good....and to be honest its really only 2 right now....Shabaz and Zeller....and Zeller is going to be the most sought after player....so we would have to have a top 2 pick if we wanted to have a chance at Zeller....while i think we will just miss the playoffs and will have a lottery pick i expect us to have the better odds of picking between 8-14....so the chances of us getting a top 2 pick r slim...so as much as i would love to have Zeller i just dont see it happening

Wth? Nerlens is playing good also

I did forget about Nerlens....he is solid but very raw...i would be open to drafting him...but either way that still only makes 3 really good players so we would still need a top 3 pick which isnt very likely......do u not agree that this years draft is 1 of the worst in a long time???

Just about every year around this time people are whining about "how weak this draft is" yet there always seems to be a number of worthwhile guys. People were talking about how after AD the 2012 draft was one of the weakest in recent memory. That looks to be untrue. Let them play.

As for Smith, nooooooo thanks. Too much money for somebody who won't take us to a championship. I can think of a number of other bigs I'd rather throw money at in FA.

SWedd i agree with your statement about the drafts...this time last year i thought the draft was weak and it turned out to be pretty good....but even last year i saw some quality guys in there..i just didnt know they would be as good as they are this fast..this year is different...its full of no names...now i know as the season goes on and when march madness hits i will become more familiar with guys and certain guys will emerge ...but even with that said , this draft just doesnt look good at all...

It may very well be the worst draft in history. All I'm trying to say is let's not throw away the draft two weeks into the season when we really don't know how they'll pan out.

agreed...i wasnt trying to come off as if i had given up on it ..i was just posting my observation

Oh I know, just seems like there's an overwhelming sense of distaste for this draft class and it's probably a bit premature

I personally don't get it....

Shabazz
Nerlens
Polythress
Zeller
Len

At least on par with 2012, IMO... just sayin'.

no...the dudes coasting in his contract year. Imagine what he'd turn into if we locked him up long term here. 20 foot brickshow all day

While it would be tempting to have a player like Josh Smith on the team, I really dont think he would fit best in our plans. He cried about not making the all-star game last year. I rather get a person that is team and winning first than about individual achievements.

Heeeeelll no. I don't like anything about him. He's the 3rd best player on his team getting paid more than any of em. Terrible on court attitude and not particularly young, nor adept at making a difference. The opposite of what we need here.

Only thing that puzzles me is the Zeller hype, Zeller is projected to go #1 this year, yet he was projected to go 5-7th pick range last year... either this draft is weaker or Zeller is overhyped

That's terrible logic

Player stocks fall or rise according to all sorts of variables. Zeller has been a top 4 pick in 2013's DX database since last year. So it's not out of the question that he could be #1. Remember Harrison Barnes? He was the consensus #1 pick for over a year. Jared Sullinger, and Perry Jones? Their stocks fell precipitously from one draft to the next.

blake griffin was projected to go 6-8 (possibly to us) the year before he was drafted. he returned to school and was the #1 pick the next year with good reason.

Signing Josh Smith doesn't sound like something Cho (and the Bobcats of course) would do. There's little chance we could get him for less than his maximum and even though he is a good player he alone can't propel us to be the contenders everybody wants us to be.

Zeller isn't a franchise player though so him going #1 would mean this draft is projected as weak
