1. Enhanced vBulletin Buddy List System
"As part of our new social networking system, users can now request that people on their buddy list confirm their friendship, after which time a person's list of confirmed friends will be viewable to other users."

http://files.vbulletin.com/3.7/friends-edit.png

========================= ===================

2. vBulletin Personal Profile Commenting
"While private messages between users have been in vBulletin since version 2.0, vBulletin 3.7 introduces the public messaging system, allowing users to communicate publicly via their profile pages."

http://files.vbulletin.com/3.7/public-messages-profile.png

========================= ===================

3. vBulletin Photo Galleries
"vBulletin users can now create albums and upload pictures to their account."

http://files.vbulletin.com/3.7/album-show-album.png

"The ability to view these albums and pictures can be limited by the user to just board staff and people on their buddy list if they want privacy."

4. User-Created Social Networking Groups
"To further social cohesion between users and to encourage people to make friends, vBulletin now includes a facility to allow users to create their own social/interest groups. These groups are enhanced by having their own public messaging system, and the ability to add pictures to the group from user albums."

http://files.vbulletin.com/3.7/social-groups.png

http://files.vbulletin.com/3.7/social-groups-messages-and-pictures.png

*I think the whole social networking groups sounds really interesting. It means we could perhaps start creating Fable based guilds such as Will users, good and evil usergroups. I dunno. I'm sure we can come up with something!*

========================= ===================

5. Revamped Profile Page Layout
"In order to accomodate all the new important features (http://forums.projectego.net/#)in vBulletin 3.7, the member profile page has been completely redesigned from the ground up.

The new important page (http://forums.projectego.net/#) information in a far cleaner and more logical manner, while dividing up information into manageable chunks using a tabbed interface.

Individual profile field categories can be displayed alone in blocks in the right column, in addition to appearing by default in the 'About Me' tab."

http://files.vbulletin.com/3.7/new-memberinfo-b.png

========================= ===================

6. MySpace Style Profile Personalization
"The administrator may choose to allow his members to use the profile page customization tool, which allows users to alter fonts, colors (http://forums.projectego.net/#), background and borders etc. of their profile page in order to create a more personalized look.

The administrator can lock-down customization permissions, in order to prevent the personalized pages being made too offensively awful by aesthetically challenged members... nobody wants to see some of those really ugly MySpace pages on your vBulletin installation!"

Now all you have to do to post a video is to add the url, you don't have to worry about placing it in a tag.
For example I would paste the URL below in my post

http://youtube.com /watch?v=QoXZ-KNIs-M and I would wind up with THIS

Not sure where this thread should be, but just wanted to say Ziggy that you have done a wonderful job with the new look!

The old place was messy and cluttered and not at all inviting, but this is clean, easy to navigate and consistant.

Solid work mate.

It's going to make coming here a lot easier on the eye and a lot more inviting.

Ziggy, I appreciate your hard work while carrying this forum to a very respectable level from zero. Congratulations. Long live "the best Bobcats community on the cyberworld"!!

Couple of things...is the "posts since your last visit" option not an option anymore? I'll miss that one. Also, what happened to the "quote", "image" and other icons in the "reply" page? Unless I'm missing something (and I very well could be) I have to actually add the brackets with quote before and after text?

I do like the new site...just going to take me some time to get used to it.

Theres a quick reply at the bottom of each message, then a post reply button at the bottom of each thread that gives you all of the options. It should look like the attachment below. The quote and image buttons are circled in red.

The posts since your last visit should now be the 'New Posts' link up on the navbar.

Give it a try and let me know if thats what you're looking for... Believe me, I'm still trying to find a few things myself:p

Nah, I'm not getting that. When I hit either I get a page with "Title:" and a blank entry field, then underneath I have "Message:" with a bigger field. Underneath that I have a choice of "no icon" or 14 others...under that is "submit reply" and "preview post".

Thanks on the "new posts"...found that!

OK spectre, I think I've fixed yours through the back end. Let me know if you see it now.

If anyone else has the same problem, they can go to their UserCP --> Edit options, scroll to the bottom and select 'Enhanced Interface' under 'Message Editor Interface'

The Social Groups are never active and just a waste of space.

There is an option to turn it off in the UserCP. Once you do that, you should feel slightly less gay. :biggrin:

Emo (pronounced /ˈiːmoʊ/ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:IPA_for_English))
A group of white, mostly middle-class well-off kids who find imperfections in there life and create a ridiculous, depressing melodrama around each one.

An entire subculture of people (usually angsty teens) with a fake personality. The concept of Emo is actually a vicious cycle that never ends, to the utter failing of humanity, and it goes something like this:

1. Emo guy is just too much of a pussy. His penis is too small, he's too depressed to bathe, and has more mood swings than emo chick, and he doesn't even have a menstrual cycle. Emo chick dumps him, saying "It's not you, it's me." (lie) as she drives off with Wayne, the school jock and captain of the football team.
2. Emo guy goes home and cries, proceeds to write a weak song and strum a single string on his acoustic guitar. Another emo chick sees how he is so in touch with his feelings, and the cycle continues.

Maybe Steve just needs one of those labels (ala the "styler" or "mod" one) that just says "gaaaay." Think that would cheer him up?
