I decided to create a central location for all Charlotte Bobcats rumors and rumors of rumors prior to the Thursday deadline.
First on the list is this tidbit:

It loos like the New Jersey Nets have been contacted by a few young building teams inquiring about their multiple first round draft picks. Please Oh Please let one of those teams be the Bobcats.

The Bobcats do not neccessarily need another teams draft pick. Inless a miracle happens the Bobcats will have a lottery pick. They will have that pick and a second round pick. They already have three wonderful young players with a lot of talent in Okafor, May, and Felton. The number one priority for them should be a SF or SG. If they cannot get this through a trade (which they won\'t) they can easily get it in the draft. Because of the all the college players leaving early last year this won\'t be a deep draft, but there is a lot of talent for a lottery pick. Since this would only help in one area I suggest they trade there lottery pick for help. With the trade of a player and the 1st rd pick they can accomplish this. There are teams out there that are willing to give up a couple quality players for a top 5-10 pick.

Twolf,
Welcome to the board! I agree with you that they\'ll be able to address their SG and/or SF position in the 2006 draft, (hopefully with Adam Morrison). But I\'d be floored if they give up their lottery pick for a player. Trading down a few slots wouldn\'t surprise me though.

Nothing..... Not a damned thing!!!! The 3:00pm trade deadline comes and goes without a whimper.
We have 2 players that could have helped out a playoff caliber roster, that aren\'t going to be part of the long term plans for the Bobcats. Yet Bickerstaff couldn\'t strike a deal that would return us something of value for either one of these players????
Melvin Ely at the end of this season he\'ll be a restricted free agent, and you can bet your last dollar that some team is going to make him a contract offer at a level that the Bobcats will not be willing to match. And why would he want them to match anyway, because theres no way he\'d be getting starters minutes with a healthy Sean May and Emeka Okafor back in the lineup.
And Brevin Knight... Detroit openly fiended for a solid backup point guard. Yet our beloved GM couldn\'t work anything out?
AND don\'t even get me started on him believing that Kareem Rush for Reggie Evans not being a good enough offer.
I think I\'m going to be sick.

I just can\'t believe that not a single decent offer was made for Ely or Knight. Our beloved GM must have been holding out for something that he couldn\'t get like a first rounder.
