We get assualted last night on the boards 51-40, and Lonnie Baxter gets a DNP-CD, If he can\'t get any playing time with Emeka Okafor, Sean May and Melvin Ely out, especially with the way that Shawn Marion was pounding us on the boards, then he has no hope of ever getting on the court.
What was the point of that Lonnie Baxter / Keith Bogans trade again?

Its just another case of only Bickerstaff understanding what the heck he was doing. The Phoenix game showed he had no faith in Lonnie Baxter, I can\'t give you an answer on why he made the trade. It makes no sense at all.

Heres your answer, The Bobcats <sarcasm>beloved</sarcasm> coach/GM is so caught up in being a player\'s coach/GM that hes putting the interest of players ahead of the franchise\'s best interest. Heres a few examples for you.
1. Giving Brevin Knight the option of rejecting any trade, this is all well and good, but we\'re running a business here, this isn\'t a cub scouts troop, its a BUSINESS, an NBA Franchise, for crying out loud.
2. Trading Keith Bogans, at Bogan\'s request, it was actualy a fairly meaningless trade as far as the talent level of the players go, but at least trade for something of SOME value, Baxter isn\'t even getting on the court and we have a slew of frontcourt injuries.
3. NOT trading Kareem Rush. Supposedly the Sonics offered something for Kareem, and if it was anything more than a half a bag of corn chips, then Bernie should have jumped all over it. Hes given Kareem every opportunity, even though hes shown that he is NEVER going to be a legit NBA Player.

The plain and simple reasons we traded for Baxter was to get rid of Bogans disruptive personality and to add a veteran forward to backup all the youth. If nothing else, Baxter adds guidance to all the young bigmen.
As far as talent goes the trade did nothing. Veterans can teach things to the young players that the coach doesn\'t have time to teach.
The only way, right now, the Bobcats are going to get more talent is through free agency and the draft.
Building a new team takes time. You can\'t be impatient.

Disruptive Personality??? I haven\'t heard anything about that. Can you expand on that?

If they get a good coach and go .500 next season that would be amazing from where everything stands now. At least the draft pick will be top notch... I hope!
