After watching them in college I have to say they both have flaws to there game.

Morrison:has the most flaws to his game thats defense. He is deadly on with the ball but when he is playing D he just looks confused. He will get ran over by the talented SF\'s in the league. He is also really slow how is going to guard someone as strong as King James? He may be a deadley scorer that could help us but what is 30 points if his defender is getting anything he wants. I don\'t see Morrison as a good fit on our team. He is not very agile either so for a Small Forward in the NBA thats not good.

Rudy Gay: People call him inconsistant but he is already NBA built and he is a beast in the paint. He reminds me of Lebron James or Teshawn Prince. They are all killer in the paint but they can make long range shots. If we draft Gay it would be a safer pick than just a 1 sided player like Morrison who is all offense and no defense. Imagine the uptempo play The Bobcats would have with Raymond Felton at the one guard, Gerald Wallace at the two, Rudy Gay playing the three with backup Jones, and Sean May and Okafor in the paint they would have a team simular to the Suns.

Heres another good article on Rudy

The thing that scares me about him is that you never really saw him dominate on the college level. Hes oozing with potential and athleticism, but will he be able to turn it into big time performances once he reaches the NBA. I hope so.

Dead_real, Rudy Gay\'s athleticism is off the chain, but what would you think about drafting Rodney Carney instead? He can match gay athletically and has the added benefit of being much more agressive offensively.

That would also be a good pick some mock drafts have us taking Tyrus Thomas.

Rodney Carney is the only player in this years draft that has a chance at being an All Star.

If we draft Morrison, Tyrus or Aldridge I\'ll puke.

Carney fits this team the best for style of play and postion.

Only thing is, he\'s not worthy of the frist overall pick either.

That being said, if I had to make a choice of taking Gay, Morrison, Aldridge or Carney at #1, then I\'ll go out on a limb and say Carney would be the best bet.

Put if like this if we get the number 1 its a safe pick to choose Morrison or Rudy Gay.

What\'s so safe about taking Morrison or Gay?

There is no telling if Morrison will be able to get his shot off in the NBA, let alone keep up with the pace of the game (the dude is so slow when he runs it\'s like he is running backwards). The only \"safe\" thing there is knowing that night in, night out, he is going to get lit up, exposed, made someone\'s bitch on D time and time again. We look best when we run, run, run and with Felton, Wallace and Okafor being so athletic we can do that. What happens if we draft Morrison? We hold the ball up and wait for him every time down the court for \"our scoring threat\" to catch up with the rest of the team?

As for Gay - the only safe thing there is that HE doesn\'t even believe the hype about himself that others drummed up earlier in the season. The kid is athletic, that\'s great. So was Harold Miner. So was Kenny Walker. So were many other guy\'s and they amounted to zip beause like Gay, they didn\'t have the drive. Gay doesn\'t have anything like \"super star\" projecting from his game or his attitude.

Carney = Poor man\'s Vince Carter (with the scope to be as good) or a rich man\'s Andre Iggy (Carney has a better offensive game).

Even that is no \"safe\" thing though, just an observation.

But at least observing Carney showed me that he has the swagger of Morrison and the althletic ability of Gay
