28 points and 26 points last night. That kid is a BEAST. Next year hes going to be unstoppable, and 2 years down the road hes going to be an MVP candidate.

Orlando snagged him at #1 in 2004, before our pick at #2. But it was close, supposedly the Orlando Magic front office waffled back and forth all the way up to draft day between Okafor and Howard, but decided on Howard on the last day. Next season Emeka is going to have to step up his game.... I mean step it WAY up to reach Dwight Howard\'s level.

Excactly. I was ticked off when Orlando chose him instead of Okafor. I have been proven correct, as has Orlando. Okafor\'s an injury waiting to happen, just like he was in college, and Howard\'s upside is through the roof.

He is a beast like Shaq was in his prime Okafor was sick in his rookie year but than he had the slump hopefully he can raise his game next season.
Before some of you are so quick to write EO50 off, I think you need to take into consideration a few things.
The 1st, and most important, is that Howard isn\'t doing anything that Okafor hasn\'t already done. The \"beast like\" numbers that Howard is putting up this year almost mirrors the numbers that Okafor put up last year. The only difference is that while Howard is shooting better from the floor, EO50 blocked MORE shots and actually shot BETTER from the ft line.
While EO50 did start this season poorly (due to him working out his new body and additional 25lbs of muscle I\'d guess), he really started to bring it together from about mid November on. If he had an injury free year there is no telling what he might have done, especially with Crash, Felts and JuJo coming on the way they have.
For all of you who are now saying that Howard would have been the better pick - I\'d like to see how a kid from high school who could hardly string a word together and would have been thrust into the spot light would have handeld being the face and 1st overall selection of a brand new franchise and come in expected not to be a rookie and learn, but to come in and be a rookie and lead.
I for one and thirlled we were lucky enough to land Emeka and know that he was and is the perfect selection for this team.
That\'s not to say that Howard isn\'t a talent. He really is something, but for you guy\'s to come on here and slam EO50 - without cause, is sickning.

I guess its a case of people forgetting what you\'re capable of when you\'re out injured. I\'m guilty of it myself. You can\'t help it though when Emeka had a lost season, and you flip on Sportscenter and see Howard ripping it up.
I\'m pulling for Emeka, I\'m hoping that he comes back healthy ( works on his low post offense this summer ) and shows everybody that Howard isn\'t the only Beast in the eastern conference.
