View Full Version : The Next \"Big Thing\"
Who would you like to see make it as the \"next big thing\"? Obvioulsy LeBron is the man at the moment, but who out of the next tier would you LIKE to see step it up. Not who you think WILL, but who you would like?
Chris Paul
JR Smith
Dwight Howard
Gerald Green
Greg Oden
Someone else?
I want it to be GG. He seems like such a down to earth kid who really loves the game and has a load of passion. He also seems really grounded with a great support network around him

Shame on you for not putting Raymond Felton up there.
All Bobcats players are a given!!
;)
More shame to the people on the other thread talking down EO50 and taking up Howard I say.
You know who you are!!

I would like to see Greg Oden, The NBA was the most fun when it had dominant centers roaming the paint, like Ewing , Olajuwon and David Robinson. These days all of the 7 footers want to be small forwards.

But I want to see Felton become huge and a consistant PG in the league for years like Iverson, Gerald Wallace, Chris Paul, Marvin Williams, Emeka Okafor, and Greg Oden.

I\'d like to see both Dwight Howard and Emeka Okafor battle to be the \"Next Big Thing\". They are both in the Easter conference so they\'ll have to go head to head several times each season. They could really push each other to improve and have some good battles similar to the way that Shaq and Alonzo battled when they first came into the league.

Carmelo Anthony... Hes clutch, he scores in bulk, Once people really get to see him on the big stage of the NBA playoffs, he\'ll be on his way to being the next big thing.

Gerald Green is going to be a real nice player, A combination of Felton/Green/Wallace/Okafor would have been absolutely sick, I think that Buckethead may have a point with Carmelo Anthony, He kind of flies under the radar, but his team consistently wins, makes the playoffs, and he already has more game winning shots than Michael Jordan.

Melo is going to be a nice player he is under the radar because of Lebron James. Carmelo\'s career could be put in the same boat as Felton has been in all year. With Lebron and Carmelo you have Felton and Chris Paul.

I would like to see Adam Morrison be \"The Next Big Thing\", He has the type of personality and the type of game where everybody will either love him or hate him. If he were the next big time player, then he\'d bring a lot of interest back to the NBA.... And it wouldn\'t hurt if that were with the Bobcats.

Okafor is an injury waiting to happen. He\'s done for.

Damn, thats harsh!! Its a way too early to write Emeka off as a bust. He had a crap 2005-2006 without a doubt, but I\'m confident that he\'ll come back strong next season.

I\'ve been away for a while, but I\'m back here spread some real NBA knowledge in this place.
The next big thing is CP3 - Chris Paul, Thats the answer, pure and simple.
Its not Raymond Felton, he\'ll be lucky to top out as a Terrell Brandon type player, he\'ll probably give you 12 points 6 assists as averages for his career.
It ain\'t Emeka Okafor, He has bad wheels and lousy low post game.
CP3 is the Next Big Thing.... Deal with it Bobcats fans.

I guess there always to be one dumbass in every crowd... Bugman, the last time that I checked, The Hornets were waiting on their ping pong ball to pop up also, Despite all of the CP3 hoopla, they\'re still watching the playoffs from their living room couch. And as far as your undying love for Chris Paul, enjoy him for the next 2 or 3 years, because we can tell you from experience that George Shinn will let his players move on to another team before he actually has to pay them.
Couldn\'t help but notice that when the Whornets were in the hunt for the playoffs you were on here once or twice a day running your mouth bugboy.
Then the Whorenets did what everyone knew they would do - they choked............and so did you.
No doubt Paul is a good player - a cock puncher, but a good player.
You may want to take a look at the stats since the All Star break though. Felts matches him in every cat.

Felton had some decent numbers after the all-star break, but stats on a bad team are meaningless. The points and assists have to come from somewhere and he just happened to be the guy getting minutes at the time. By the All-Star break, the Bobcats season was shot, so there was no risk in giving him extended minutes.

You can talk all the trash you want to here, because everyone here who has experience the pile of crap otherwise known as George Shinn, knows that the Whorenets are never going anywhere as long as George Shinn is owner. You\'re in the lottery again this year, Thats about 5 straight years isn\'t it??? :P Get used to that feeling.
