How concerned are you with Adam Morrison and his diabetes situation? Do you think it will have much of an effect on his career? Will it shorten it, or is it something that will be a non factor?

As long as he plays the same in the league with him learning to play tougher on the opposite side of the ball he is good.

If the Bobcats make him their draft pick, then I\'m mildly concerned about his health, From what I\'ve read, he has it under control and he follows a real strict diet. Hes managed the diabetes for years, so its not something new that he has to learn how to deal with. In a league where you\'re one ripped ACL from being done anyway, I wouldn\'t be too concerned with his diabetes.

I feel sorry for Morrison read this.... This hits me hard because my mom has diabetes. I hope Ammo can pull threw this and have a long career in the league.
Morrison and his family hinted as much in a recent interview in Sports Illustrated. A diabetic, Morrison told the magazine he felt he needed to move quickly because of uncertainty over his future health.
\"Time is of the essence,\" Morrison told the magazine. \"I\'m going to deteriorate a little faster than anyone else.\"
Morrison constantly monitors his blood sugar during games and sometimes gives himself insulin injections while on the bench.
His father, John, told the magazine that diabetes could cripple his son\'s hands or feet at any time.

Man, I hadn\'t thought about the effect that diabetes could have on his hands and feet, hopefully hes able to control it so that he can have a long career and a long healthy life.
Maybe the fact that he doesn\'t know how long his basketball career will be is what causes him to compete so ferociously on the court like each game is his last.
