I still don\'t undertand the hype over Rudy Gay.

Can somebody please explain to me why Rudy Gay is so hyped up?

I\'ve seen him play several times, and every game he hasn\'t shown me anything. Hes athletic, I\'ll give you that, but so is 99.9% of the rest of the NBA.

Some Rudy Gay fan, please tell me what all of the excitement over this dude is about. I just don\'t get it.

You have to see his games in 2004 he was a beast he kind of stepped down in 2005 but he still was productive.

Rudy Gay is loaded with potential mainly because of his athleticism. But drafting on potential usually gets the coach or GM fired, because the players don\'t work out ( Stromile Swift for example ), supposedly his potential was through the roof when he came into the draft. A few years back the Bulls gave up Elton Brand, and built around the potential of Eddy Curry and Tyson Chandler, That move screwed up the Bulls franchise for years.
I\'d rather draft players that produced at the college level and aren\'t loaded up with a bunch of questions. Give me Adam Morrison or Brandon Roy over question marks like Rudy Gay or Tyrus Thomas and day.
