It looks like Kobe may be switching to a new jersey number next season #24 Read about it here.

Is he trying to one up Jordan by going with 24, 23+1?
Or is it just a stunt to sell more Kobe Bryant jerseys next season?

Thats the reason, Now all of the people that have the #8 jerseys will have to run out and buy the number #24 jersey since #8 will be stale.

I read another interesting theory that Kobe picked the number 24 because it\'ll fit into some kind of \"living 24 hours a day\" marketing campaign.
