And he kept hinting that we needed a two guard and the host brought up Brandon Roy being worth a top 5 pick I really hope we can pick him up I have never seen Roy play could anyone post his pros and cons on his game. I heard he great handles and a nice jumper.

He supposed to be one of the most NBA ready players in the draft this year, he has good size at 6\'6\", he can score but doesn\'t need to dominate the ball. He doesn\'t have Rodney Carney or Rudy Gay level athleticism, but supposedly he has all of the intangibles that coaches are looking for.

Ok thanks Zig I hope we draft him, Alan Anderson and Roy at the 2 guard spot and Felton and BK *Maybe* at the one guard spot.

This is something I wrote about Roy:

Strenghts:
Shows great maturity and an understanding of the game. Involves everyone on the court and still contributes to the scorers column himself. Fantastic passing abiltiy to the level of a point gaurd. Plays longer than he actually is with creative well thought out drives using a vartiety of reverse layups and finger rolls. Knows how to get his oppoents in the air and draw fouls. Is like a defense magnet in the paint drawing double and tripple teams freeing up his team mates for open looks who he finds regulary with his passes. Super unselfish player. Competitive and a solid defender.

Weakness:
No real length on his jump shot at all and stuggles from 18ft out. Relies heavily on his driving to score his points. Tends to get a bit of a hurt put on him due to his continual drives and will need to bulk up a little to absorb the contact of the bigger bodies in the NBA. Not at all super athletic.

High End: Oscar Robertson (poor man\'s)

Low End: John Salmons

Ideal Team: Bobcats, Raptors, Magic, Sonics, 76\'ers, Pacers

Bobcats Outlook: I like this kid a lot. I love his abilty to distribute the ball and the way he sees the game. He\'s super creative and unselfish approach would fit right in. He could walk in and start at the 2 from day one for us. He could also play some mins at the point if required (ie: playing a team with a taller point like the Clippers, Wolves, Washington etc).

Preference: #2 (my #1 is Carney)

Big Slam,
I\'ve seen a bunch of websites compare him to Dwyane Wade, If you\'ve seen him play in college, do you find that to be pretty comparison to be accurate? If hes 70% of what Dwyane Wade is, then he needs to be our pick.

I wouldn\'t compare Roy to Wade. Roy has two suspect knees and doesn\'t have the explosion and hops that Wade has.

I guess they way they can both drive the lane and get to the hole is slightly similar although Wade does it by blowing by his defenders and Roy does it using his superior basetball iq.

That and the fact they are both not known for stroking the 3 ball makes them some what alike I guess but that\'s about it.

Roy really is something though and I wouldn\'t be upset at all if we drafted him. I would actually prefer him wayyyyyyyy more than Gay.

Forgot Roy we better draft Rodney Carney we passed up on Green last year we cannot pass up on a sick guard like Carney who can play on both sides of the floor I see us drafting Morrison though Bernie don\'t fuck up again please.

Unless LMA or Bargnani go ballistic in their predraft workouts, I think the Bobcats are locked into taking a shooting guard, likely Roy or Carney... I\'ve even seen one mock draft that had us drafting Brandon Roy with the first overall pick.

Hes an ok player, but Rudy Gay, Adam Morrison, Andrea Bargnani AND Lamarcus Aldridge are all much better prospects than Roy.
