With so many workouts happening over the next month, I think it would be a good idea to have a thread just for that:
This find comes from draftexpress. It looks like Rodney Carney did fine in individual drills, but he got absolutely locked down by Maurice Ager, scoring ZERO points in an intense game of 2 on 2.

I don\'t see us picking Carney unless we can trade down, Rudy Gay or Adam Morrison are huge options coming to Charlotte since owner Bob Johnson wants \"star\" power.

I expected more out of Carney, I thought that hes been working out with Tracy McGrady for the last few weeks.

How\'s he going to score when he can\'t do anything but run? What\'d you expect?

Why did you expect more out of Carney? Have you ever seen him play? Running and jumping does not a game make. Carney has no game whatsoever.

Adam Morrison does not have any star power.

I\'ve seen him play and he has way more game than you give him credit for, Thats why I\'m shocked that he got handled by Ager the way that he did.
Carney has no game whatsoever
They said the same thing about Vince Carter when he was at UNC.
They said that Jamison was the stud.

It looks like Tyrus Thomas is pissed off about draftexpress having him being drafted #7 in their mock draft, and has cancelled their invitations to one of his private workouts.
If hes really as good as he thinks that he is, he should invite them, give them a front row seat, and then prove them wrong.

Thats one more reason to stay away from Tyrus Thomas. In addition to being the biggest risk to be a bust, it sounds like hes being mismanaged by his people.

Hmmm... No star power?? I guess thats why he and Redick practically led Sportscenter during the whole NCAA basketball season.

If hes really as good as he thinks that he is, he should invite them, give them a front row seat, and then prove them wrong. Its obvious that Tyrus Thomas has a few things that hes trying to hide, Maybe its:
* Not being strong enough to play the PF position
* Being too light in the ass to hold his position in the post against NBA talent
* Not having the handle to play the small forward spot
* lacking the offensive skillset to be anything more than an \"energy\" player
I could go on, but I\'ll stop at those four.

Heres the latest news from Saer Sene\'s most recent workout...
In the article they of course talk about how extremely raw he is, but you have to love a center that can easily touch the TOP of the backboard.

More notes from draftexpress discussing Brandon Roy\'s workout. He had a surprisingly high 41 inch vertical leap, a beautifuol shooting stroke and he measured out with a 6\'9\" wingspan. However he didn\'t do anything to stand out in the drills.

Justin Gray of Wake Forest had a workout with the Bobcats, Hes hoping that they can pick up a second round pick to draft him.

rudy Gay\'s workout that was scheduled for today, has been moved back to Friday, so that he can be paired up against Brandon Roy

Adam Morrison will be in town to workout for the Bobcats on Monday... That should make all of the \"Draft the \'stache\" fans happy.

This isn\'t a Bobcats workout, but man oh man this one should be a lot of fun also, The Jazz are going to have this group of players in on Monday, Shelden Williams, Saer Sene, Hilton Armstrong and Patrick O\'Bryant. I\'d love to see how Saer Sene does matched up against Williams

Tyrus Thomas is ridiculously overhyped, I predict that hes going to be the guy on draft day that takes the biggest fall.

Bickerstaff was impressed with Rudy Gay in today\'s workout. He measured out a 6\'8 & 1/2\" and a 7\'2\" wingspan.
Brandon Roy got sick early in the workout, (WTF  ) He may stay until Monday and workout with Morrison and Carney.

I\'m so high on Brandon Roy right now I hope Bernie drafts him at the 3 he is going to be better than Gay.

I wonder if he just wasn\'t in the condition that he needed to be in to make it through the intense workouts that the Bobcats run their prospects through, and he just yakked up a few meals.

What he needs to realize is that in any other year, it would be absurd for him to even be mentioned as a top 5 draft pick. He should be happy that the other players in this year\'s draft don\'t blow anyone away with their skills or potential.

If Bernie has a brain he\'ll seriously consider trading this pick.

Why would we trade the 3? unless we can get a simular pick close to 05 like 5 and 10 I would jump all over that but nothing later than 10.

I agree with you, dropping down past 5 or 6 would be dangerous. Once you get down to the 7 or 8 range, then all the top prospects ( Aldridge, Bargnani, Roy, Gay, Morrison, Thomas ) will probably be gone. I could deal with any of those players with the exception of T.Thomas. Hes a bust waiting to happen.

Thats what I\'m saying there might now be any star potential players in the draft but if you have a chance to get a player like Roy, Gay or Morrison that can help our franchise out you cannot pass up on a lottery pick.

I think that its likely, We could get one for moving Brevin, theres no way that hes going to be happy coming off the bench behind Felton all season, Bickerstaff could try to play both of them in the backcourt together again this season, but if he does, then thats going to stunt the growth of their draft pick if it winds up being Roy/Gay/Morrison.
They could also pick up an extra pick by allowing another team to dump a salary on the Bobcats roster. This year they have to reach 75% of the cap at a minimum, and they are currently miles away from that.
I get the feeling that somethings going to happen.

With his offensive skills, he\'d be perfect for the Bobcats.

With his offensive skills, he\'d be perfect for the Bobcats. So let me get this straight. Adam Morrison was shooting 80% from three point range in this workout??? Even with nobody guarding him, thats some ridiculous shooting. Just plain crazy.
Any word on how he did with the Bobcats today?

Here it is In the interview Bernie actually says that he thinks that the Raptors are going to have a hard time passing on him at #1 after they see him work out.
Heres what Rodney Carney had to say about working against Morrison:
It was a good matchup. A lot of people say, Oh, Adam cant go one-on-one. Adam can go one-on-one. He is a very fierce competitor. He will make shots and is a very offensive-minded guy and will get down and score on you. I have nothing but good things to say about Adam. We went at it today, had fun and both had great workouts.

With any other GM, I would think that he was just blowing smoke about the Raptors taking Morrison at #1, but from what we\'ve seen of Bickerstaff so far with issues related to the draft, he hasn\'t been real big on smokescreens and elaborate con jobs. So may be he saw something in Morrison\'s workout today that really makes him think that the Raptors won\'t be able to pass him up once they see him workout theirselves.

Daaaammmmn. It sounds like Rudy tore the place up.
Just when I thought I had it figured out, that the Bobcats were going to wind up with Morrison, Rudy Gay gets the best of him head to head. This is the most confusing draft in years.

Tyrus Thomas and Lamarcus Aldridge punked out and are backing out of their workouts with the bobcats on Thursday.
What a couple of beeyatches.
Apparently they both believe that they\'ll be gone by #3, Nothing would make me happier than seeing them plummet on draf day. Tyrus especially.
