Rudy Gay once again after a great work out friday I think its posible that we pick him up, they have Roy dropping to 7 and Morrison dropping to Portland.

I think you\'re right, reading Bickerstaff\'s comments following Rudy\'s workout, it sounds like he has his mind 99% made up.
He had to love the fact that Rudy said that he\'d eventually like to play the SG spot. IF he can play it then we\'d be looking at a lineup of:
Felton / Gay / Wallace / Okafor / Primoz
and 4 out of those 5 are excellent defensively... its an easy guess which one is the weak link:P

Yeah, even though I want us to pick up Roy I think were gonna take Gay. Which is a good fit, and I agree with that line-up

I saw a mock today that had Adam Morrison going #1 and Tyrus Thomas #2, if that situation played out, I think Bernie would draft Lamarcus Aldridge over Gay. Hes old school and seems to believe that you can never have too many quality big men.

^As far as our needs I wouldnt want us to draft LMA with Emeka, May, and Primo we have enough big man for right now if we could just stay healthy at that position.

The only thing that might change my mind is, if they find out after working him out that he can legitimately play center in this league. That would make LMA a little more interesting.

I\'d bet my last dollar that up until AT LEAST the trade deadline, if we drafted Gay the line up would be:

BK / Felton / Wallace / Okafor / Primoz

with Gay coming off the bench and then prior to the trade deadline, so long as Gay has progressed and showed that he can actually handle the 2, BK will be traded.

Just my opinion.

If BB feels that the wings are interchangeable, I can\'t see why he wouldn\'t feel the same way about playing EO50 and LMA together in the front court.

If they drafted Rudy Gay ( or Morrison or Roy for that matter ) and he still force fed us a lineup with 5\'11\" Brevin Knight at SG, then thats just more proof that he needs to get out of the coaching business, I don\'t have too many gripes about Bickerstaff\'s GM decisions, but some of his coaching decisons make ZERO sense to me.

Roy \"might\" be able to start from day one.

Morrison \"might\" be able to start from day one.

No way Gay could start from day 1. He\'s not ready.

BB will bring him along slowly like he did Felts.

I hate to say it but I agree that Brevin Knight will still be starting next year even if we do draft Ammo or Gay.

Last year he was able to keep Felton on the bench because both are natural point guards and since Brevin was the veteran and returning starter, he got the nod. With Rudy Gay, I think that it\'ll be a little different. He\'ll have the option of starting a 5\'11\" point guard whos playing out of position and severely undersized for a SG, or he can start a 6\'8\" stud and let him learn on the job.

No way in the world BB would feed Gay to the wolves like that. He brings his rookies along the right way - slowly and with purpose.

Unless the said player is NBA ready - which is a serious rarity - BB wont start them and I agree with that approach.

Like I said, maybe Roy and Ammo could start but they would be the only two out of this class.

Knowing that our SG position is super thin and that for the most part, Felts held it down well last season when he played it as well as the fact that BB is a fan of small ball makes me think that the opening night starters will be:

Bk - Felts - Crash - EO50 - Primoz

I\'ll be patient...... I\'ll give Bernie until Christmas day to get Rudy Gay (If hes the pick) into the starting lineup. After that, I\'m screaming for his coaching head.:P
