The Bobcats official site is reporting that Emeka is finally back on the court doing some straight line running. He isn\'t allowed to do much at this point in his rehab, but its good to see him out of that damned walking boot and back on the court running. Hopefully he\'ll be back at 100% and causing havoc in the paint next season.

It HAD to be more than a high ankle sprain. No way just that would have kept him out this long and still limit is training capabilities.
Had to be some ligiment damage too.
P.S. Sick pic!!!

Big Slam,
After his second ankle injury, I was thinking that they were just being extremely careful, since there was nothing to benefit by bringing him back, BUT you have a good point, 4 or 5 months is waaaaay too long to be out even with the worlds most severe ankle sprain. The question that I have though, is why would the Bobcats hide the real injury, What do they have to gain?
Don\'t know Heel Fan, that\'s the one thing I can\'t figure out.
There\'s being cautious, there\'s being overly cautious and then there is being flat out rediculous.
EO50 being out this long falls into the flat out rediculous catagory.
Like you, I was ok with him sitting out the season, especially after the Houston game when he did it the 2nd time. But now I\'m sort of worried.
I\'m hoping he will be ok but after 6 months and still being limited in training bothers me.
Hell, you can return after 8-12 weeks with a broken leg. This was only meant to be a high ankle sprain.

If there was some ligament damage or something else that they aren\'t telling us, I hope that its not anything thats going to linger for his career.
On a side note, If you think back to the Houston game when he got hurt the 2nd time, if he had just hit those free throws at the end of regulation then he could have avoided this whole mess.

Heres a very positive update on the progress that Emeka Okafor is making on his rehab.
On a side note, Why couldn\'t the Observer give us this kind of update?

Thats a great sign that Emeka is on his way to a full comeback. After missing so many games last season, It sounds like he really wants to show people that hes an important of the Bobcats roster.
