ORLANDO, Fla. - Although it\'s not yet official, it appears the Charlotte Bobcats will have a second round pick -- 50th overall -- in the June 28 NBA draft.

Orlando Magic general manager Otis Smith told Bobcats\' counterpart Bernie Bickerstaff Thursday that the Magic will not exercise their option on the Sacramento Kings\' second-round pick.

So instead, that Kings pick (No. 50) would go to the Bobcats to complete the deal for point guard Jason Hart. The Bobcats lost their own second-round pick to the Los Angeles Clippers in a previous deal that involved Melvin Ely and Eddie House.
Now if we get this who in the second round should be looked at?

Trade both picks to Boston for Gerald Green. Adam Morrison is a stupid pick.

I think we can still find a serviceable player at #50
If we go SG/SF with the #3 pick then I\'d go best available player at #50

If we go Lamarcus Aldridge at #3, then I\'d pick best availabe SG/SF at #50.

On nbadraft.net they have Allan Ray on the board at #50
on draftexpress they still have players like Bobby Jones and Thomas Gardner available

Considering guy\'s like Ryan Gomes, BRJ, James Jones, Kyle Korver, Rasual Butler, Stephen Jackson and of course Michael Redd have been taken at or around #50 in the past it\'s fair to assume there is some talent to be had if we kick over the correct rock this year.

I\'d like to look at a \"project\" pg to fill the void when we hopefully trade BK before the deadline this upcoming season.

No way Burl is going to cut it so I would rather hope like hell someone like Dee Brown drops and we can swoop on him.

The other option would be to package the #50 with either BK or Ely or both to trade for something.

Of course, maybe if someone like James White slides he might be worth a thought too?

Bottom line - I think we should look to use the #50 on a future backup to Felts.

Gerry McNamara might be around at #50. If he is we should draft him to back up Felton, then that would give Bickerstaff no excuse NOT to trade Brevin.

Tray will never get over us passing up on Green, even if Sean May plays like he did in the final 4.

Tray, listen to Dead Real, you have to move on, Gerald Green is NOT getting traded to the Bobcats, It ain\'t happening... But look on the bright side, at #3 we\'ll get a solid contributer ( hopefully the \'Stache, who in my opinion will be way better than gerald green ) and now we\'ll also have a 2nd round pick where we can pick up somebody like G.McNamara, Allan Ray or Bobby Jones which will give us some much needed depth. Don\'t hang all your hopes on gerald Green.

Bobby Jones looks like the kind of guy that Bickerstaff would take if hes still available at 50. Hes solid all around, athletic and potentialy a defensive stopper.
