Would you be willing to tank the entire season... Go 18-54, Have no national games, suffer through empty seats at Bobcats Arena and endure the ridicule of having to look up to the Knicks next season if it guaranteed you GREG ODEN in the 2007 draft?

Even though hes supposed to be the greatest center prospec to enter the draft since Shaq.... I couldn\'t do it. I\'m ready to see the Bobcats get some wins, I\'m tired of talking about planning for the future.

Thoughts?

Absolutely I wouldn\'t. I never believe that Jordan will let the entire season slip away to land a hot future prospect. He needs to do it all, and all in this season. He wants to delete the memories of Wizards and Kwame Brown as soon as possible.

We will no way be under 30 wins next season(I strongly hope). So we won\'t have the chance to take Oden.

We have to be playoff contenders in a year or two, or the campaigns like \"199$ flight plan\" won\'t work.

Hell no, we actually have a chance to make the playoffs. Why throw away a playoff season?

Yep, I\'d do it. It would be painful to watch next season, but once Oden was added to a lineup of Okafor/Wallace/Morrison/Felton, then we\'d be contenders for the next 10 years.

As much as I\'d like to have that line up, we couldn\'t really afford it could we? I really want to see some wins! I want to see Sean May win MIP next year, Mek to come back stronger than ever, etc. Besides we could end up with another good pick next year and package it with somebody else to get him. I mean the Lakers ended up with Kobe, and only gave up Divac? and their draft pick that year. Could always be good and work out a trade with an idiot like Isaiha(sp)?

Its not the most honerable thing to do, but it worked out with the Spurs when they drafted Tim Duncan and for the Houston Rockets when they drafted Hakeem Olajuwon.

NO..............
How many season ticket holders do we have on this site besides me. How many times did u see the games last year tanked by Bernie. Doing things like taking Felton out of the game on the verge of a come back and how many times did u see Felton slip back in the game behind Bernie\'s back, only to be took out again. How many of you seen Shawn May jump up and down laughing and carrying on the last 20 games of the season? How many of you did you see BK or Wallace get set out for 2 or 3 games at the end of the season and they would come out like nothing was wrong. No I will not go through that again, I will give up my season tickets.

If the offseason continues with no more free agent pickups and then you see Bernie trot out Brevin as the starting SHOOTING GUARD, then you might be on your way to a tanked season.

We dont have to tank the season .Belive me if a season has ever been tanked it was last season.
Bernie did a great job . He did ever thing he could do to lose a game. He even had B Rob playing the FIVE along with Jones , Carol. on the frunt line . It was tanked. We have a solid five .Its OK50 right now he could be better than over half the centers in the league. Do you guys not think hes a big upgrade over Premo and Ely . Hes quick strong and can block shots. Hes can also pull down the boards. Him along with Felton, May, Morrison,Wallace Can and will take us to the playoffs this year. You have to rem none of those five players are over 25 years old . The only thing they can do is get better. Its time NOW for Charlotte to makes its move. We all talk about players thet we need to be added, but the thing we need the most is a COACH .Have your son as a ass and your sons best frind on the team.ANY WAY THIS IS A PLAYOFF TEAM and a solid team for years to come...........

I don\'t think we need to tank, next years draft is so deep with talent I don\'t see the need to tank to get a number 1 pick if we drafted Ammo, Felton and May i the last two years of the draft just to lose whats the point of even having a team if we are going to tank each season just to get a good pick. I rather see sucess slowly pick up next season than for us to play crappy/tank just to get Oden.

Such a disgusting thought and anyone who is down with the idea really needs to take a good, long hard look at themselves.

The fact that having the worst record in the league doesn\'t mean that we would draft #1 over all makes it even more of a disgusting proposal.

The only reason that worked for the Rockets when they got the Dream was because the lotto system wasn\'t in place.

The thought of throwing a season makes me furious.

i typed a huge post but the server was busy... pissed me off but yall probally didnt wanna read all that garbage anyway... ill just break it down real quick

pros- draft best center prospect since shaq

- thats all you got for pros

cons - 1 not a proven talent
2 not a proven draft position, its a freakin lottery system we could win 2 games and still pick 14th
3 losing season
4 lose dignity and respect.

i didnt buy 4 season tickets to watch us lose, so that we might have a hope of a slight chance at drafting what MIGHT be a great player. screw that.

Don\'t you think forcing BK into the point guard spot when we ALL knew that Felton was performing better, Shutting down Rerun for the season, and some really \"curious\" 4th quarter playing time decisions that all happened last year weren\'t a form of tanking?
Signing a useless Kevin Burleson is a form of tanking.
Not signing free agents is a form of tanking.
Not buying that draft pick from the Suns when it was open to the highest bidder is also a form of tanking.

If you don\'t do everything in your power to win, then IMO you\'re tanking.

So with that being said, I say if you\'re going to tank then go ALL OUT and tank, don\'t pussyfoot about it.

Do i think the Bobcats give games away last year i know they did. At least the 2nd half of the season. I would all ways get pissed after FELTON cut the lead to say to 6 points and Bernie take him out and put Burleson in. Then Burnie be standing watching the game and Felton would walk behind him and go to the scorers table and check in. Pissed Bernie off he would call a time out and take Felton back out. Some funny stuff.
But no way shuld we tant the games . If it happens again this year . That will be the last time i buy season passes.
I dont think it was the players , because they all ways seemed to bust thair tails........ no matter who Bernie put in...
