The thing that caught my eye from the article was this
The Bobcats look like they are clearly saving money for next season when they are in a position to be the only team far enough under the cap to offer a maximum deal. Players like Rashard Lewis, Mike Bibby, Vince Carter and Chauncey Billups could be available.
With Raymond Felton, We don\'t need Billups or Bibby, And theres no guarantee that we\'d be able to get Vince or Rashard Lewis to sign. I\'m not liking the way that this 2007 \"master plan\" is shaping up.
I agree and have been saying that for the last 2 years ashy_larry. It\'s a great plan.............in theory.
hing is, if we don\'t land any \"name\" player/s next summer who can step in and make a serious difference and send us deep into the playoffs and maybe even the finals we are going to fall flat on our faces and the first 3 years of the franchise will be a joke and a waste of time.
I can\'t see the investors being too happy about that. Who is going to want to pay for corporate boxes or season passes to see a team stink for the 4th year in a row?

Outside of Vince Carter ( and thats questionable in my opinion ) there aren\'t any players left on the 2007 free agent list that are capable of giving us that push to send us deep into the playoffs. Antowain Jamison is nice, but he isn\'t the kind of player that takes you to the next level.

Jamison will be a Bobcat next year . He will be a great role player and teacher to the younger players. And its not going to take alot of money to get him to come home.....

Money talks, and some team is going to be willing to offer him a max deal, so the Bobcats will have to do the same if they want to get him.

If they have a shot at him, then I say go for it, But if they do nothing the rest of the offseason, nothing at the trade deadline, then lose out on all of the big name \'07 free agents that are left, then the management of the franchise is going to look real bad.
