let some other sucker throw a max deal his way.
Vince has always been a whiny diva of a player, who doesn\'t come up big in the clutch. His only real benefit is that he would get the Bobcats on Sportscenter every night because Stuart Scott is chairperson of the Vince Carter groupie fan club. Plus, by the time next season rolls around, Vince will be 31 years old and he\'ll have MAYBE 3 good seasons left... TOPS.
Max money should be spent on guys like Wade, Lebron, Carmelo, Dwight Howard, NOT on a guy who publicly admitted that he dogged it and didn\'t play as hard as he could have when he was in Toronto.

I just needed to get that off my chest, Whew, I feel better:)

I give Vince a good bit more credit than you do, but there is one thing in your post that I agree with that should keep us from offering him a long term deal. His age, at 31 years old, he won\'t have much tread left on his tires by the 2007-2008 season.

What we need to do is lock up Wallace long term I would not throw a max contract at Vince at this moment but I would use that doah on Antwan Jamison he wants to be in Carolina and he already has chemisty with out Ray.

Id love to see Jameison a Bobcat. But nither one is worth a max contract because of the age thing.
Jameison want want the max to play hear. If the cats have any sence at all we need to lock up Wallace now be for the season starts . Next year he will get A MAX LONG TERM . FROM SOME ONE.

2005-06
Statistics R. Lewis
PPG 20.1
RPG 5.00
APG 2.3
EFF + 18.72
Position: F
2005-06
Statistics Jamison
PPG 20.5
RPG 9.30
APG 1.9
EFF + 20.22
I\'d still want Jamison!
I admit these numbers are very close. Jamison has a few things in his advantage.
His release of the ball is the fastest I\'ve ever seen.
He crashes the board harder than Lewis, & he is a Tarheel.
Lewis is better at hitting 3\'s than Jamison.
And is younger.
Sorry I\'d have to take Jamison if only for the reason that he\'d put more fans in the seat.
I do agree with most of you guys on one thing though.
Wallace should get the max NOW!

I\'d rate the 2007 wishlist like this
1. Jamison
2. Lewis
3. Carter
Lewis has slightly better numbers, but I think you could get Jamison a little cheaper and maybe convince him to even play 6th man. Theres no way you could convince Lewis to be your 6th man.

Jamison should be a lock for 2007 even if he doesnt start we would be an instant playoff team IMO adding him on I would start him over May at this point and time unless May has countless double figure games I would have Jamison come off the bench but thats not a bad combo to have Mat and Jamison the tar heel duo I like it. :)

Compared to Rashard Lewis its almost a dead heat. Lewis is better from three point range and Jamison better on the boards, but I\'d still go with Lewis next season because of their ages. Lewis\' game is going to be on the upswing and Jamison\'s game will soon be declining.
