I found this article on Truehoop
In it they talk about Vince Carter\'s upcoming divorce from his wife. If she gets custody of the kids, then she\'ll probably live in either SC or Florida. So Vince may choose either the Bobcats or the Magic in free agency next year just to be close to his kids.

The Magic have a built in advantage in signing Carter since Florida doesn\'t have a state tax. Their max contract would be worth more than a max deal in the state of North Carolina.

I think Vince would probably be better off with the Magic than the Bobcats. I don\'t know if Vince is mentally strong enough to play in Charlotte with the pressure of having MJ looking over his shoulder. Plus, if he pulls some silly bullshit like he did in Toronto, he would lose a lot of Tarheel fans in the area who would otherwise support him regardless... And this is coming from a Tarheel fan.

Vince Carter is an overpaid, overhyped fraud. I\'d take Gerald Wallace over Vinsanity 7 days a week.

Let some other team screw up their cap giving Carter a big money, long term deal. Leave the Bobcats out of the Vince sweepstakes, We don\'t need a 31 year old shooting guard that plays \"when he wants to\"

Then you are a freaking nut!!! Carter is so much of a better player it\'s not even funny.
I however wouldn\'t give either one of them a max deal. Still, Carter or Wallace would be like saying who should be our PG Felton or Burleson?

Vince is a great dunker and thats it. He has about another 2 years of mileage left in his knees before you see a huge dropoff in his production. He\'ll get his team on Sportscenter\'s highlights, but he doesn\'t hepl them that much in the win column.
G-Force on the other hand creates havoc on the defensive side of the ball, plus he can hold his own on offense. His play makes a bigger difference in the outcome of the game.
