Its looking more obvious with every international tournament that a collection of all-stars isn\'t going to beat these international squads that have been together for years and have better chemistry.
Our only solution is to send an entire team. What do you think the Miami Heat would have done in this tournament? Would they have breezed through it, or are all the players so set in the NBA\'s isolation and one on one style of play that they would have been beat also?

I think the Heat would have won it. I don\'t say this because I think we need to send an NBA team. Or even the NBA champs. They\'d have won because the are a team, not a group of all stars. They know each other inside and out. I don\'t think it\'s nessecary to send an NBA team, I think that a top 10 college team could do the trick. If the were weak at a certain position( like the heels were at pg last year)then put an alumni that knows that teams system in his place, Felton in this case. The most important thing to achive is to send a team not all stars. whether it\'s college or pro I don\'t think matters at all. I also think that the college game is closer to the international rules than the NBA game is.

I think the heat would be able to do it as well for the same reason in the previous post. What has been the undoing of team usa has always been the lack of chemistry between the players, and even the players not being as comfortable with the coach. Hopefully the understanding of this will come through for the teams they decide to send out to represent the usa, but I highly doubt it.
