Yep, it took forever, but he signed almost 2 weeks ago, in a hotel in Japan. I read in Spanish newspapers that the guy had loads of offers from Spanish teams but Walter Hermann wanted to join Bobcats.
This guy is good!

Im glad to see Hermann on the team and hope he can contribute. BUT he is a far cry from what we could have got had BOB JUST STUCK HIS HANDS IN THEM DEEP POCKETS OF HIS. Im starting to think we becoming the Charlotte Clippers. This is a team thet has TONS of cap space and dont even have a true 2 worth starting on any team in the league. Yes i did say ANY TEAM in the league. The few 2s we got would be lucky two start in the NDBL.
Charlotte needs to address the problems we have now instead of singing a team of small forwards. We dont even have a top 20 center and he has no back up at all except a 2nd round draft pick. And like i just said our best TRUE 2 would be lucky to start in the NDBL. We cant just go out and sign players to the NBA min for the hell of it and expect to win.It needs to be some kind of plan some where.

My worst fear is that they save a bunch of cap space until next season, then throw a bunch of money at Vince Carter. I think that it would be a bad move from a basketball standpoint because Vince isn\'t getting any younger, and he isn\'t a player that you build around IMO. But from Bob John$on\'s perspective it would be a good move because it would put more butts in the seats which means more money in his pocket.

I agree with you Carter is not the player to build your team around at his age. We had plenty of good solid players to add to the core players we have now. But BOB and the Cats didnt add any thing at all.
YES Morrison is a great draft pick and could make the team better. BUT we had tons of money to spend on players and we added no one at all.

If Bob is trying to run a team on the cheap, then he\'ll find out that Charlotte fans won\'t support a franchise where the front office doesn\'t make an honest effort to compete... They can just look back at the Shinn years to see that.

Our problem is no the city for sure. Just try and buy a Panthers ticket 195 dollar seats are selling for 300 and ever gane is sold out this year unless you pay those prices.
I want the Bobcats to win as much as any one. Thats why i have season passes. But it comes to a point to where you say the hell with it.If Bob dont do something befor the start of the 07-08 season. I will say the hell with the Bobcats and save my money.

I guess I\'m glad we finally signed somebody. I sure wish it had been a 2 guard and not another freaking forward. Is there anybody out there left to sign? We don\'t have the space on the roster do we?

With the signing of Hermann, that puts the Bobcats at 15 unless I\'m forgetting somebody. If they kicked KB to the curb to clear a roster spot, that would be fine by me.

I thought he signed a couple of weeks ago but it\'s nice to hear it from a legit site thats not spanish. He should give us some offense coming off the bench so I\'m all for this signing.

Dead real, do you know Spanish, do you read Spanish?
The real and correct information about Walter Hermann come from Spanish and Argentinan sites from internet!
Walter Hermann signed 2 weeks ago, when did most people find out?? 1 week later! Take a look on some of these Spanish and Argentinan sites, youll be suprised, they are days if not weeks ahead.

:P If he does the shirt off dunk, Bernie would put him on the next US Air flight back to Argentina.
bobbi,
What do you predict tha we\'ll see from Hermann this season? What do you think his typical stat line will look like.
Since hes going to be coming off the bench, I\'m thinking maybe 7 points and 4 rebounds.

Well, the Spanish leage is the second best after NBA and Hermann played in the best team, Unicaja in M?aga He is not a very regular player meaning hell score 20 in some games and 0 in others but knowing that he was a medium player in Unicaja makes him one of the top players in Bobcats. He is good at 3-pointers. I would guess like you, more or less a medium around 3 -4 rebounds and around 8 points.

Thats saying a lot, Has Unicaja sent any other players to the NBA?

Unicaja/Malaga have 2 players that left for NBA this season, Hermann and Garbajosa. Garbajosa is playing for the Toronto Raptors. Garbajosa was the best player in Unicaja and the best after Pau Gasol in the Spanish National team, the worldcup winners.
Even so, Walter Hermann impresses me, I wish him all the best.
