I ran across this today

Briefly: The Warriors are engaged in serious talks to acquire Bobcats forward Melvin Ely, according to a source. The deal would likely involve three players going to Charlotte. Ely averaged 9.8 points and 4.9 rebounds last season.

If this is true, it BETTER be something different than the rumored deal that would ship out Gerald.

According to that goldenstateofmind.com, those three players will be Devin Brown, Zarko Cabarkapa and Chris Taft. Deal will also include several picks, but I guess this kind of deal is unlikely to happen, since we already have 15 players under contract.

If that deal goes down, that would give them 18  players on their roster. If they keep 12 active and 3 inactive, I wonder which 3 players would lose a roster spot?

yeah i dont see the point. Id rather just get draft picks for Ely than crap players who we will cut.

I think we might be overrating Ely and his trade value. Apparently there isnt much of a market for him. So im saying send us Devin Brown, and your second round Golden State and i will be happy.

I agree Devin Brown is an upgrade at the guard position to KB but still I rather just have the second round pick as well.
