Matchup of the night: Adam Morrison -vs- Rudy Gay
Rudy Gay had a strong showing in his first NBA game with 21 points and 8 rebounds in 38 minutes in a triple overtime loss to the Knicks. He shot 8-21 from the field.
We all know what Adam did;) 14 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals in 31 minutes on 5-13 shooting.
It should be fun watching them go head to head Friday night.

who is going to guard warrick? he put up some nice numbers against NY, but i\'m not sure if he played center for them or power forward...i would really like to see the bobcats impose their will down low. without pau gasol i think memphis\' post presence is a whole step lower. okafor and may could do well down low and that could set up our perimeter game if they get double-teamed.

this is definitely another winnable game. i\'m pretty excited to see the outcome.

all i know is if RAY RAY is gonna run his mouth about playoffs at the beginning of the year, then they need to beat teams like Indiana an Memphis, if they plan on actually makin the playoffs

I think Warrick was playing PF last night. I guess May will be guarding him. Their both 6\'9, but May weighs more.
Once again this is a very winnable game, and I\'m expecting us to win this game.
Damn, too bad I wont be able to see this game.

we have 3 great defenders in Wallace, May, and Okafor (mr. 6 blocks), and they can also score(just a low FG % for Okafor lol) but I see this as a winnable game. Warrick and Gay should get lit up if they try to drive into OUR LANE!!!

Chucky Atkins?? Please.

I agree with everyone, this is a quite winnable game. If we aim 35+ wins this season, we\'ve got to win these kind of games. They have a very tight roster, let\'s hope Morrison outshines Gay.

Hopefully Felton will be running the point tonight after his horrible opening game. I expect Rudy Gay to have a huge game tonight...I see him shuting down Ammo on defense but lets hope I\'m wrong.

After tonight\'s game, theres absolutely no reason that we shouldn\'t be 1-1. The Grizzlies are missing their top player Pau Gasol and they don\'t have anything or anybody else that should give us any trouble.

Any update on the starting 5 for tonight? I\'m hoping Felton and Ammo are playing the one and two tonight they worked pretty good together in the preseason.

BK is in the starting lineup whether we like it or not

3 first quarter blocks for Emeka and 6 first quarter points for Adam:) . The Bobcats picked up their game as soon as Brevin went to the bench and Ammo came in.

10 points for Adam 3 minutes into the 2nd quarter and 4 blocks for Emeka. If Emeka could get even a shred of offense going he would be lethal

We got a 47-44 halftime lead. Morrison already has 16 points. He\'s stroking like crazy. Two 3\'s. Were allowing too many off rebounds though.

Ammo is having a game I\'m calling him get 20+ if he can stay out of foul trouble I told yall him and Felton play great together. Felton had some TO\'s early but he seems to have settled in.

Morrison has been lighting it up.
The Bobcats need to tighten it up on the defensive end so that the Grizzlies don\'t sneak a win out of this game.

I wasnt able to watch game. I could only follow it online. Someone tell me what the fuck happened? How the hell did we go from being up by 10, to losing by 13?

Turnovers, missing foul shots and not playing tight defense on Mike Miller dude was killing us in the 4th. Two players being in double digets doesn\'t help the cause either Emeka missed a lot of easy lay ups and got had to sit because of foul trouble, Ammo loooked great until the 4th where he was shut down another hard lost that we should and could have won.

Heres how I see it. In the 4th quarter we didn\'t have enough scorers on the floor.
For the most part Adam was the only scorer out there so Memphis double teamed him. Bickerstaff is so friggin in love with Brevin that he kept him out on the court for almost the whole 4th quarter when he could have had Matt Carroll in there to give some extra scoring, or maybe he could have put Sean May or Ely in for some low post scoring and then slid everybody else down a spot.
It sucks to be 0-2:pinch:

I kept wondering why May didn\'t come into the game while Jake kept fouling the shit out of Mike Miller.

I know...WTF!!! May only playing 20 minutes and Brevin getting 36?? That\'s more than everyone except Wallace. I\'m sick and tired of that damn man love with BK and Bernie. Mike Miller should have bene shut down...get May, Okafor, and Wallace out there together...get some size AND speed....that\'s an easy concept. I mean...come on. Brevin should be a ROLE PLAYER!! Felton is a POINT GUARD. Knight shoulda been pulled after 4 fouls...not being allowed to have 6.

I would have rather has Walter Herrman, Ely, or even Hollins out there rather than Knight...let Wallace do his thing in SHUTTING DOWN THE SCORER(that being Miller at the time).

All in all...Bernie is holding us back...FIRE BERNIE!!!

Someone. Anybody. Please elighten me!

Another disappointing loss for the Bobcats tonight. I got home from a basketball game tonight and got on the interent and began to follow the game through yahoo, repeatedly pressing the refresh button to see how we were holding out. Obviously, you can tell from my name i\'m a fan of Sean May. Always have been. Alway will be.

Anyways, back to the game, I was happy to see that May had 9 pts and 6 rebounds through 17 minutes. Then all the sudden he wasn\'t logging anymore minutes. Without a television to watch the game, I figured ole May had hurt himself again and was out for the game. However, 10-12 minutes later May comes back in! Stays for 3 minutes and is never to be seen again.

It was simple. We were winning with May in the game, while Morrison was shooting. We began losing when May was out, and Morrison wasn\'t shooting. How in the heck did Sean May not get to play anymore? He was on pace to score 20pts and have 12 rebounds.

I don\'t understand it. Sean May is a really good player who does very well while he\'s in there and doesn\'t get his fair chance.

Enlighten me oh wise ones... http://www.bobcatsplanet.com/joomla/components/com_joomlaboard/uploaded/images/maycoveravatar2.jpg

we gave that one away. just gave it away in the 4th quarter.

raymond felton is a bad shot selector. how many times does he drive the lane and just throw up a prayer? if he would stick to jump-shots and PASSING THE BALL he would be a great guard.

great start for ammo, too bad he never had the ball in the 4th when mike miller was crapping all over us :pinch:

i am also shocked that sean may didn\'t log more minutes. the guy was playing pretty well. more shocking to me is that melvin ely didn\'t even play, after only getting 3 minutes last game.

okafor: 2 games, 10 blocks ( :woohoo: )

there is a reason they call them \"FREE\" throws :(

i\'m still in shock, i thought we had the game in hand going into the 4th, memphis had nothing at all going their way, and then they just turned it on and never looked back. 0-2 hurts.

Absolutely. Keep the successful lineup!!

I don\'t think Raymond is a bad shot selector his Jumper was just not falling tonight so he used his speed to get into the lane. There wasnt to much he could have did since BK played the point the entire 2nd half and most of the 3rd. I like Felton when he is slashing to the rim using his explosive speed to get the lay up or draw a foul like he did in preseason and late last year.

We\'re not playing as we expected after drafting Morrison. He played great tonight, but we couldn\'t find a damn defender to stop Mike Miller. Dahntay Jones shut down Morrison, however. That reminded me a loss last season vs. Chicago, in which Ben Gordon scored 20+ 4th quarter points(total sth like 35). I don\'t understand how we can let decent players shine that way. Didn\'t we tried double, triple teams? Wasn\'t there any way to stop him? Or was he playing like Kobe \"the 81 scorer\"?

Adam still isn\'t our go-to-guy in fourth quarters. We should be patient with him. Bernie\'s players choices may be discussed, but first of all we should discuss that disgusting ft percentage, I think. We cannot win any matches with this ft performance, whether Brevin plays or not. Also we aren\'t stealing the ball too much, like we did during 2 seasons.

On the offensive end, we play like old Bobcats, but on the defensive end, we look as we lost our identity.

In the 4th, Adam wasn\'t shut down in my opinion. They just weren\'t getting him the ball. He only got 2 shots that quarter and that wasn\'t untiol they had given up their lead and were down by 10.

Tamburello has a good point though. If the Bobcats hit their free throws then we win the game easily.
