Is it too early to panic?
We entered this season with a lot of high hopes, but here we sit butt naked last in the Southeast division at 1-4.
Emeka is playing great. Adam has looked good in spots and like a rookie in other spots. Our backcourt is a mess, our PG of the future is playing out of position and already has a rib injury.
Is it too early to push the panic button?

Yes and no. We\'ve only played 5 games, and other teams that are of championship caliber(Detroit, Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, etc) are either 2-3 or 1-4.
I say give it a dozen games and panic.

I think its too early to panic, BUT I have to agree with djack in principle. We came into the season hoping to contend for a playoff spot and through the first 5 game, they look NOTHING like a playoff team.
They\'ve been blowing leads, missing lots of open shots and the coaching has been questionable at best.
If we look like this after 20 games, then feel free to panic.

i think panic is the wrong word maybe...
when we were talking playoffs, it wasnt like we thought we were a lock. We are still a third year expansion team, that hasnt cracked the FA market heavy yet. Lots of money and moves to make before we can think we are a perrenial playoff team.
the thing to worry about is through 4 or 5 games so far. I havent seen any dramatic improvement from last year. Its the same thing in fact. Scrapping along, sticking with good teams, but losing in the end. This year ive seen even less drive and determination from this team. which is what we should always be about. Bernie has never been a good game coach. But as far as teaching young kids thats why i thought they brought him in in the first place. SO FAR NO GOOD. I dont think hes made any dramatic impressions on the players except for probally Brevin Knight.
but i agree. if after 20 games, we arent playing well, we arent playing hard, we arent showing improvement, and we arent beating the teams we should be beating. Then yeah some kind of shake up maybe in order.

I hear you, I am sort of in that state. But I have faith in the Bobcats, they will turn around and comback. After near the half point, and we are the same are we are now, then I would very much start to panic

I\'m not in a state of panic yet. I\'m in a state of disgust already though. I didn\'t think we\'d make the playoffs this year to start off with. I am hoping too but if we do it will be a huge step forward. If we don\'t, well it\'s really not excpeted of us yet anyways.
I just hope to cut down on some turnovers and get a few in the win collum.
