This evening at 6pm, the Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets come to town.
Here we sit at 1-4, with the only positive in the first five games being the play of Emeka Okafor.
Do you guys think that the Bobcats can turn it around tonight?

Of course we can turn it around. Denver is still favourite, but if we avoid the mistakes we did against Sonics, and if Morrison plays as well as we\'re expecting, we can take 2nd win of the season. By the way, will Raymond play tonight?

both teams only have 1 win, of course we have a great chance to win this game. with kenyon martin out, that\'s the kind of player that usually eats our lunch, but with him inactive we have a good chance to win. expect a big dose of melo. i think this game hinges on who performs better: okafor or camby.
and from what i hear, raymond isn\'t playing :(
silly me had to give away my tix too :(

I try not to be a pessimist, but I see the game following the usual pattern. We start off strong in the 1st quarter. Any player thats hot then sits on the bench for at least half of the 2nd quarter. Then we get our doors blown off in the 3rd quarter. Then in the 4th quarter we try to come back, but because of boneheaded player rotations we can\'t get it done.

Anything is possible, but then again maybe the Heat would trade us D Wade for Knight :whistle: Knight is having a great game tonight as well.

Down by 12 and other than Emeka we\'re playing like crap. This team has too much talent to consistently play this bad. Something HAS to change.

Where do we start. Wallace isn\'t playing near as well as he did last year. I was really wanting to trade Knight but he\'s playing a lot better than Raymond. Maybe if Ray was playing at PG it\'d make a difference. Get rid of Bernie?

Where would you start? I was all for trading Knight, but dangit he\'s playing better than anybody else at guard. Maybe Raymond would do better if he was playing his natural position of PG. Do you get rid of Bernie?

You\'re right, Gerald isn\'t playing to the level that he was last season. I think that it may be because of that fall that he took in the first game of the season. He probably hasn\'t fully recovered from that.
Adam is ICE COLD. I\'m sure that he\'ll eventually shoot his way out of the slump, But Damn!:blink:
Does not having Primoz make this much of a difference to our team? I find that hard to believe.
Even though BK is playing well, I would still trade him because Brevin getting the minutes at the point throws everybody else\'s minutes out of whack.

I don\'t see any easy fix\'s. Time will make us a better team. Not sure about keeping Bernie, but I really think we need to keep BK. I also think that Emeka needs to show up for practice an hour early and do nothing but shoot free throws. If he doesn\'t then he\'ll not make it through the year healthy, everybodys just going to foul him and send him to the line. I\'ve got Adam on a fantasy team, he\'s heading to the bench until he get\'s out of this shooting slump of his. Who\'s next on the schedule?

@Hornets
@Spurs
@Magic
Mavericks at home...
staring down the barrel of 1-9 right now.
this was the first game all year that we just looked like a bad team. the other games we had some sort of rhythm for part of the game, this game we just sucked throughout.
and what was the deal with guarding melo? we had adam morrison, matt carroll, and alan anderson trying to guard an all-star like carmelo anthony? wow. just wow.

HEELFAN post of the month.
couldnt have said it any better... and thats exactly what we did tonight and lost bad. i can describe how pissed i get at bernie for his third quarter coaching. i hate it.
as far as the brevin knight thing goes... look i hate that raymond isnt playing his best spot either. but BK is the most consistent player on our team right now. in Bernies defense (that hurts to say) he has his best players on the floor in BK and ray. no sense in benching one of them. i guess. i dont really no. it doesnt seem to be working this way.
Jake Voshkul. Turnover Machine. hes good for at least 4 TO\'s a game and 3 points max. i like the guy hes a hustler. but damn hes in a slump or something he just looks bad.
1-9 that hurts

We shot 47.6%, Denver shot 42.9%,
we grabbed 49 rebounds(18 off), Denver grabbed 36(11 off),
we blocked 7 shots to Denver\'s 2.
But we lost \"that\" match, by commiting a massive 29 turnovers. It\'s franchise record, we surpassed ex-record 26. Every single player who played turned the ball over at least once. Emeka made 6 TO\'s, Brevin made 7.
What is this? A joke? Maybe not a joke.
Maybe what Gerald Wallace says after match: \"It\'s careless. It\'s irresponsible. It\'s lack of concentration. Our first two years it was mainly about the team first, the individuals second. I think everybody is too much focused on ourselves.
There\'s too much \"I\" in the Bobcats right now.\"

Wallace actually said that? Too much I? That\'s a load of bull if anything theres too much we. In the College game it was considered rude to take the first good shot available, in the NBA is rude not to take it. We passed up too many open looks and tried to get the easy dunk out of a play. Too much I...Sheez what an idiot, probably thinks we should be feeding him instead of the big Oak inside.

i disagree.
the turnovers werent helped by the officials in that game.
but i was there and if anything we took to many jumpshots. i would have liked to see more passes, because open shooters were missing. Emeka needs to touch the ball every time down the court, unless of course we are running.
the real problem we had in that denver game, (and i hope no one watches this film.) they ran very well, kept us on the chase on the defensive end and it was tough for us. they made plays in the fast break when we couldnt, signaled by Gerald Wallaces botched dunk attempt. he missed a dunk that could have gotten us right back in it. instead they came back down off the rebound and went up two more points. To crashes defense, everytime hes gone up for a fast break hes been tackled. and im serious when i say everytime. i havent seen him have a trademark steal and dunk all season. because players just tackle him hard everytime he goes up.

I wasn\'t there but I still say we are not playing unselfish basketball. Things will get better once Adam comes out of this shooting slump. People won\'t be able to abuse us as much when they can\'t give him open looks. How do you blame the refs for turnovers? I agree with Ziggy about Crash, he just hasn\'t fully recovered from the first games horrific landing.
