Chicago Tribune (scroll down) (registration required): \"Seeing that Bulls need to re-sign Luol Deng and Andres Nocioni and don\'t believe they can win the finals without a true low-post scorer, I propose this trade: Swap the two Bens and our No. 1 pick for Charlotte\'s Emeka Okafor.\"

No this is not an offer it\'s just what a fan suggested.
Would anybody consider this trade? Ben Gorden, Ben Wallace, and a number one pick for Okafor.

I can analyze this one in less than a second. NOPE!!! Big Ben has 1 or 2 good years left tops, which makes it basically Emeaka for Gordon. Talented big always trumps talented small. I\'d rather stick with what we have.

BODEFINETLY no

emeka is jordan on offense compared to wallace. and emeka may be developing into a far superior defensive presence. so you lose the better big man in the trade and you gain a pg/sg that is undersized and may or may not start on this team.

i hate any trade that involves losing emeka, felton or morrison. thats the core.

Okafor is the best player on defense now, IMO. And he will surely get better and become a great player in near future.

But also I\'m a big Ben Gordon fan. He is one of the best young clutch players in the NBA. We know we lack a clutch player. He can come off the bench and play deciding minutes. Also think about no.1 pick. That will come via NY(by Eddy Curry trade), although at the moment Knicks has a better record than Bulls. It will be high.

Let\'s think about a potential squad after trade.
Felton(Knight)
G.Wallace(Gordon)
Morrison(Robinson etc.)
May(Ely etc.)
B.Wallace(Brezec)

Add two(one from us, the other from Bulls or probably Knicks) high picks from 2007 Draft to that mix. I believe this is a wonderful core to a contender team.

If Wallace had a little acceptable contract(sth like 3 years averaging 7 millions), I\'d definitely let this deal run. But at this conditions, I don\'t accept it just because of Ben Wallace\'s huge contract.

what we would give up:
-a YOUNG big man, who is early candidate for defensive player of the year.

what we would get:
-an OLDer big man who looks like he has taken a step back in chicago. maybe he would do better with a change of scenery, but i\'m not a big fan of a player with no offensive game at all.
-a 3rd year shooting guard who is one of the most inconsistent players in the league. one night gordon drops 30, the next night 6. not enough production night in and night out for the bobcats.
-a #1 pick. if this turned out to be a #1 pick, it might actually be a great deal because the cats could draft oden...but then what would we do with ben wallace?

also, why would we want to piss off all the fans who have bought okafor jerseys? the guy is too hot right now to trade.

Give me Tyrus Thomas and an unrestricted 1st round pick(maybe 2) for Okafor and we\'ll start talking. To hell with Ben Wallace and his over-rated game.

I would even consider Thabo Sefolosha. Give me some young talent that\'s not Undersized Gordon(although I love his game).

Give me some top picks to try to finagle our way to Oden, and if I could guarantee that I coud get Oden....I\'d give up Okafor.

Thomas and Sefalosha/Deng and an unrestricted 1st rounder, then I\'ll start talkin.

The only way that I would trade Emeka away at this point is if we had a guarantee that we would get Greg Oden. This kid is going to be the next Patrick Ewing.
