ITS GAME DAY! The Bobcats (4-10) coming off a good win against the Nets, in which they finally held a lead. (just barely). Can we make it an outstanding 5-10 record. Tonight we have a good chance.

Tonight they face the 5-7 Atlanta Hawks.
Felton looks to be back in the starting lineup. so were going small again. Knight, Felton, Morrison, Wallace, and Oakafor. The hawks have lost 6 of the last seven games.

Their lineup isnt great at all. We will have to worry about Joe Johnson who is on a tear lately and rookie Shelden Williams. Who has been a suprise.

Can the bobcats shut down Joe Johnson, can adam morrison continue his scoring. I read onNBA.com , that Ammo has been the leading scorer in 3 of our 4 wins. I look for bernie to go directly to Morrison early and often and try and jumpstart our climb out of the hole weve dug.

PG Brevin Knight VS. PG Speedy Claxton
SG Raymond Felton VS. SG Joe Johnson
SF Adam Morrison VS. SF Josh Smith
PF Gerald Wallace VS. PF Shelden Williams
C Mek Okafor VS. C Zaza Pachulia

So. We definitely have the advantage in all positions except for SG and Joe Johnson. Felton will not be able to defend him, so I look forward to seeing Derek Anderson coming off the bench and contributing greatly. I also look for Felton and Knight to alternate tonight depening on who\'s on fire.

Derek will be able to provide the height and hopefully the intensity and defense.

If this lineup fails, I see the cats going to last nights lineup at halftime - Knight, Wallace, Morrison, Okafor, Brezec.

I also am going to guess Morrison will get into early foul trouble and we\'ll need to move Wallace to his spot and pop in MAY!!!

I dont understand why we keep going with the small line-up. We played really good last night with Felton coming off the bench. So why cant we bring Knight off the bench tonight and the starting line-up be Felton, Wallace, Morrison, Okafor, and Brezec. We\'d also have May coming off the bench.

I agree. I do also agree that if Bernie really wants to play Brevin, promise the players with the hot hand to be the starters. THis would probably bring a competitive nature to the team that we haven\'t had for a while.

If brevin is tearing up, let him play. If vice versa, Raydar will. This might sort out some issues. One way or another, we will develop a stronger bench this way and force everyone that wants to play to rise to their potential.

Kind of a reward system, but we need something other than having players play just because.

If we can contain Joe Johnson we can improve to 5 wins tonight. I wonder if McMay will get extended minutes after his performance last night.

good to be back on the board.Been real sick and missed a lot of games. Can some one tell me why Burnie dont want to play Felton and May in crunch time .Seams like he all ways wants B.K, To take the crunch shots and that allways so seems to be how we lose leads.Feltons going to get killed to night because of Bernies stupid small line up.Whats up with Bernie and BK.

Thanks for starting the thread for me guys!!!

I was trapped in corporate hell today selling my soul to \"the man\" and didn\'t get a chance to start it up. Feel free to start it anytime.:)

With that being said, I have a good feeling that this is going to be the beginning of our 1st wining streak of the season.

Also: glad you\'re feeling better dav7z. Bernie is up to his usual nonsense with Brevin... He has serious man-love for him and he just can\'t give him up.

surprise surprise we can\'t guard Joe Johnson. It\'s not even halftime and he has 24, and 3 treys. What is Bernie thinking with having a 6-1 guy guard one of the best guys(that\'s 6-7) out there??

Pathetic coaching.

At least May is playing respectable, but Okafor and Brezec getting beat by Pachulia and Smith? Please.

Horrible first half Joe Johnson has schooled Ammo tonight on offense he is getting whatever he wants and he is playing good defense.

2nd half we\'re surprisingly catching up a bit. May, Felton, and Brevin are carrying this team. Okafor only has 15 minutes and is not in foul trouble? Is he injured?

Another surprise is Wallace only has 11 minutes. While he has 3 fouls, we need his defense BAD.

Morrison, wow. Ice cold doesn\'t help his situation of possibly being benched.

On a side note, Derek Anderson has gotten into the game, and has only taken 1 shot. Nothing special about his game tonight, but if he is guarding Johnson, he\'s doing a bang up job, only allowing 8 points from the mid 2nd quarter to the beginning of the 4th quarter. If that\'s him, Bravo.

That was one of the strangest games I\'ve watched in a while.... Even when they pulled to within 3 points, I never really got the feeling that the Bobcats were going to be able to pull a win out.
On the bright side Sean May is playing solid over the last 2 games now that hes finally getting some decent minutes.
On the not so bright side Adam had a poor night offensively and defensively, in the 1st half he was thoroughly abused.

Once again, I reiterate that Morrison got spanked all the way around. 9-10 by Joe Johnson and all his 3\'s in the 2nd quarter alone?? OUCH.

I also need to reiterate that Anderson did respectable defensively. Once he gets some time in, he should surprise, even me to say the least.

May has always had good games when given minutes, but now he has finally been given consistancy!! HOLY SHIAT!!!! A smart coaching move.

Once again, what happened to Oak??? Reason to it??

That\'s disappointing, we turned the ball over only 7 times, but shot with ice-cold 36%. And conceding 25 points from Tyronn Lue killed us, although Sean May\'s career game.

You guys who watched the game, could you tell me what happened to Okafor? I cannot say it\'s a bad performance, because it\'s not a performance. 0 rebos\'s in 17 minutes What\'s that!!

By the way, coming from 24 points deficit to cut it to 3 points is quite positive, we could have won the match despite 0-13 fg start.

i dont know what happened. All i know is he committed a foul, and then walked straight to the bench as to ask to come out, then as soon as the sub came in, he darted to the locker room.

He was back out on the sidelines later still in uniform. but with warmups on.

I personally think the referees dominated this game, and we felt like we had no shot. So Bernie benched everyone, kinda conceding the win. He and that young douchebag ref, Eli Rowe have had some prior history. Bernie was tossed in the first 2 minutes of a game once by that referee. at the start they called a ticky tacky game and the players and bernie were clearly aggitated. So i think he probally didnt want Emeka getting hurt in a game he knew he couldnt win.

Even with the worst 1st quarter ive ever seen played, the Bobcats made a run, and then bernie put some starters back in.

I kinda think OK50 just has tired legs.He has been playing a lot of mins lately.
But i also agree with you about Bernie. He just wanted to through that game in the craper. But Felton and May dont just through games away.

Last night was just too big of a hole to come out of, though Bernie should have went back with his regulars when the lead was cut to 3, I understand wanting to grant your reserves the chance to bring you all the way back, but if you get a chance to steal one like that, why not go for it? Looks like Anderson may be our new defensive stopper...he at least slowed Joe Johnson down a little.

We got more out of D. Anderson than I thought we were going to. He at least stuck his nose in there and was willing to guard somebody. He needs to stop chucking those threes however.

i think if he gets back into the rythym of the NBA, he will be a decent threat offensively too.

i just like D. Andersons attitude. brings a fatherly feel to the players.

Reminds me of what Steve Smith brought to our club. Anderson, if he buys into it, will be a vital leader figure in our club as just that guy. If he becomes more aggressive and drives the lane, and does not settle for 3\'s, he could prove useful. We have Matt and Ammo for the treys.
