View Full Version : Sean May - Sixth Man of the Year?

If Sean May keeps playing like this then he would have to be the frontrunner for Sixth man of the year.
Do you folks agree?

If he'll play like he's doing now, he'll have a chance. 12.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, %50.7 fg in only 24.1 minutes.
But he has serious rivals, like Leandro Barbosa, Ben Gordon. Also, we have an injury-prone team, and our starters tend to injure themselves, and May would be move up to lineup, lose that chance.

He could diffinatly be 6th man of the year, offensively May has the best and more consistent stroke on our team. I would love for him to start along side Emeka more often but Bernie is determined to start Primoz either way.

Primoz is over 7 feet tall
sean may and emeka are both under 7 feet.
when your playing a team with a big over 7 feet, you gotta bring in that size or else youll get dominated. and fouls will add up quicker.
mismatches make fouls... so if you have a 6' 10 okafor trying to guard a 7'6 Yao Ming hes gonna foul like crazy just because his reach is so much taller than oaks.
anyway if aint broke dont fix it, and sean is playing is best comin off the bench

I see you're point

If May continues to play this well, then definite consideration. The way he is playing, he may earn a spot as a starter like Felton did last year.
Also, I think May is more important that Gordon off the bench.
Primoz needs to learn some post skills, but he is better than a lot of people think. He's an average-above average player and fills a void the team has.

I don't think that a smaller team would get more fouls. Sean played against guys bigger than him through out is college carrer. Oak is good enough of a defender to guard guys bigger than him. Your using Yao as an example, try it with somebody like Haywood, or dampier. We'd be better off. then again I still say we're tanking to try and get a shot at Oden, so it's probably a mute point. Send everybody with talent to an island in the pacific with some trainers and just play scrubs all year. :-\
