BK is going to be out for a month according to reports from the Charlotte Observer (http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/sports/basketball/nba/charlotte_bobcats/16338714.htm)

Now we desperately need to make some kind of deal to pick up another point guard. Using Derek Anderson and B-Rob as PG backups won't cut it/

Jay Williams is available......

Or dude, what about Wil Conroy? Made it to summer camp but is in the NBDL and is averaging 8.2 assists, 15.8 points, and 5 rebounds. Only red flag I saw was his TO stats of 4.23 -> ouch. http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/will_conroy/index.html?nav=page

I would take a flyer on him. He knows the system, and puts up decent stats. A team first kind of guy.

Unfortunately, I guaran-f*ckin-tee we sign Kevin Burleson. I think we should start a poll for this. PLEASE DON'T SIGN KB! THE FANS OF THE BOBCATS REJOICED THE DAY OF HIS RELEASE!

One good piece though. The cut will either be Bernard Robinson or Derek Anderson. Hopefully we finally cut our losses and get rid of mr. pump fake I can't make a shot B-rob. I think with D. Anderson actually getting minutes we should see this happening very soon.

P.S. If Bernie ever had plans to put Raymond into the starting PG spot, this is the perfect time to do it. His actions with Raymond on the 1 spot will reveal what's truely Bernie's "vision" for him.

Them resigning Burleson would was the first thought that popped into my head. I would be shocked if they did anything other than that, it would accomplish nothing to improve the team and it would cost Big $ Bob very little money.

Theres one positive with a KB signing, his 22% field goal percentage will make Felton's 39% and Ammo's 38% look like Arenas and Kobe by comparison. ::)

Lol. I find it most hilarious that he's a backup to a backup in the NBDL. :D It's also pathetic that he's only shooting 33% there! :hysterical:

As I know, we cannot re-sign Kevin Burleson technically. We had signed him to a one-year contract in the summer, but then waived him. His contract with us will expire at 2007 summer, and his waived contract currently belongs to us. So we cannot sign him until 2007 summer. We can calm down :)

But we need to sign someone, the best fit would be Will Conroy, I suppose. But what about veteran Milt Palacio? He was relatively successful last year with Jazz. He would come off bench and give Felton some rest. I don't know where he is right now, though.

Nice work Tamburello! Since we don't have to worry about Burleson, I agree that Conroy would give us what we need as a backup PG.

Milt palacio was waived after 4 preseason games with the sonics this year. He was cut along with Denham Brown.

I'd personally rather spend some money and trade Ely for Marcus Banks give or take a draft pick or a player, but that's just me. Bob won't spend 5 mil on a backup that could play the 2 better than both Raymond or Brevin, as well as his natural PG spot.
