Kobe Bryant comes to town tonight. Kobe always makes me nervous, You don't want to be the guy or the team thats shown in the highlights over and over and over when Kobe goes for 80 ( just ask Mike James and the Toronto Raptors ) or when Kobe goes for 60+ in 3 quarters ( How did that feel Dirk? :-\ )
First and foremost as always, I want the Bobcats to get a win tonight, but a close second is to keep Kobe from doing anything legendary. That job is going to fall on the shoulders of Matt Carroll and Derek Anderson for the most part... good luck.

How do you guys see this game playing out?

Kobe scores 45 on 12-19 shooting. The guy has 20 free throws, and fouls out anyone in his path.

We still win because of Wallace.

We're closer to win than Lakers. Because, they have no any offensive frontcourt threat, and that leads Okafor to stay away foul trouble, play extended minutes and dominate the game at the both ends. For the same reason, I also expect a huge game by Wallace, maybe not as huge as his last one :)

But the real problem is containing Kobe. Since they are already shorthanded thanks to absence of Lamar Odom, all the load of offense is carried by Kobe. I don't think we'll take him under 35. But we should shut down surprise scorers, namely Parker, Walton and Cook.

And Morrison has to show strong home performance. Please..

My prediction, Kobe gets the Jordan treatment from the refs, goes for 47 points with 18 trips to the foul line.

47, Nahhhh. We keep him relatively quiet. He'll get 32 points max tonight.

Adam is a stone cold ice cold 1 - 12... Its some sad shit. :-\

If any Gonzaga fans are lurking ( and I see all of you guys coming in from Spokane  ) Was Adam prone to these types of horrific slumps when he first began his collegiate career? Its becoming a trend.

In response to this, I read about Adam's freshman year, and not really. He was 5th in his division with a 52% fg his freshman year. Sorry to all ???

That was an insane game!! :wootjump: The Bobcats get the win in TRIPLE-OVERTIME. There were some huge numbers put up in this game.

First the bad news:
* Kobe lost his mind and dropped 58 on us :(. And thats with being fairly cold in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter and the overtimes.
* Adam Morrison was a horrific 1-15 :o from the field. Mentally he must be having some problems. Even if your stroke is seriously jacked up, you should shoot better than that.

Now the good news:
* Emeka had the first 20-20 game in the history of the Bobcats. He had 22 points and 25 boards. Hes a BEAST.
* Raymond shot poorly (7-24) but still wound up with 22 points and 15 assists.
* Matt Carroll had 27 points
* Crash had 28 points and 8 boards

Hopefully the Bobcats can build on this win.

Until Adam gets his confidence back an starts knocking down some shots, Matt Carroll needs to get the bulk of the shooting guard minutes. Give Matt 30 and Adam 18 minutes maybe. If Adam could have knocked down some shots, we would have won this game in regulation.

I totally agree with this idea. Matt Carroll is a monster, Adam is stone-handed these days. And however, Bernie always takes him out of the game when he was on fire and puts Morrison in the game. But that doesn't help him to improve.

About this match, there are tons of things to say. But it's so good to win a 3-OT thriller against the best clutch player in the league. 4 players scored over 22, which is the best stat of the match IMO. And there are lots of franchise record for our young and fighter team.

56 minutes and 58 seconds by Raymond Felton is a franchise record. Emeka's 19 defensive and 25 total rebounds is franchise record(and first 20-20 by a Bobcat). Gerald scored franchise-high 68 points in two-game stanza(40+28). Our 133 points is a franchise record. 64 paint points is FH. Kobe's 58 points is most by a rival player(22 baskets and 45 shots are also FH for us). 100 FG attempts of Lakers is our FH. And this game is first 3-OT game(and win :D) of our brief history. 19,561 people watched the game.

We have to pick up a back-up PG immediately before losing Felton to an injury.

I'd like to ask a question to the watchers of this game. Kobe took two late and so crucial fouls in last minute. How were that calls, were they right, or is Kobe right? Kobe criticized refs after game and didn't agree with both calls. Those fouls were the milestones of the match.

GREAT GAME starting to seem like the old Hornets with the atendance . I agree about Carol he is that out side peesence we need 30 mins a game. With B.K out all most ever bodys game is getting better. Hate to say this but B.K being hurt might be the best thing thet could happen to us. Notice guys are starting to trust Felton and numbers are going up. I agree we need a back up point yesterday NOT BURLESON.
The fouls Kobe is one to talk. He had at least three calls thet was compleat B.S. The back to back fouls called on wallace and the foul he had the dunk with no one with in to foot of him . I SAY let him go back to L.A. and addmit a team effort kicked his tail.............
