JAKE 11,3 2.8 3.0

I know thease guys are not super stars . But at least one of thease guys needs to go.

Primoz needs to be gone. Hes a 7 foot jump shooter that doesn't rebound, doesn't bang and is as soft as a pillow. To quote the late Robin Harris "gotta go, gotta go!"

Brezec is number 1 goner in my eyes. His first year with the team when I checked out the game logs he actually had double doubles consistantly and had large rebound totals. WHat happened to that?? Check out the game logs from March 26 - 30. He had stats of 27-11, 20-12, and 17-10 against Shaq, Nenad Krstic, and Tyson Chandler. I mean shaq's the only huge name but they're not complete bums defensively.

BUt now, he definitely needs to go. Ely needs to be traded in a package with Brevin. Jake, well, he just needs replaced, or to learn not to foul.
It should be obvious that Okafor is built for the Center spot and May can fill the PF position easily. I find this very frustrating as do you guys I'm sure, largely because it's so obvious to see.

Given the minutes, Ryan Hollins could be at least as productive as Primoz has been this season. I'd be shocked if Primoz isn't still with the team at the end of the season though. He is one of "Bernie's guys" ::)

I dont care if Hollins is a rookie and has the body of a match stick. I still think he can put up better numbers than any of those 3.........
Hell let him play at least we know hes going to get better..,,,,,,,,,,,
The obvious choice would be Brezec.
Considering the only dimension he brings is his mid range jump shooting he is the easiest to replace.
Ely is a wonderful and gifted post scorer.
Jake is a big body who knows how to foul hard and piss people off.
Keep in mind that Primoz was very, very ill over the summer and is still trying to recover from that though.
Even still, I think he has the least value to us (with McMay coming along the way he has) and potentially the highest trade value for us.

I prefer to see my 7 footers in the low post banging rather than shooting midrange jump shots. That reason alone is enough for me to keep Jake Voskuhl over Primoz.
Other than the midrange jumper, Primoz is just like any other tall dude from a park and rec league

Ziggy i agree Primoz is to to soft. Can one of you guys tell me why Ely gets no mins. With Primoz and Jake playing. I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND THAT
I wouldn't mind betting that BB is pissed at him for signing the qualifying offer over the summer.
I also wouldn't mind betting that Ely's camp isn't being very agreeable when it comes to being delt.
Considering they have bird rights it puts them in a position of power which would probably wax BB's nuts.
The only way he could one up him would be to sit his ass on the pine.
Either way, I can't stand to see Ely sitting there and that fat, useless waste of a roster spot who we are wasting MILLIONS on Othella Harrington getting burn before Ely.

Unhappy with all of them package them all for a 2nd round pick each and I'd be estatic*(damn happy). I can't say much about being unhappy with Ely as he doesn't play. Jake is a thugh and I don't like thugs. Primo's nick name should be "Sealy" the best mattress I ever had, but still not useful to us. I'd love to see Hollins get some time, I haven't seen him play ever.
I hope we aren't done in the trade market yet, getting Mcginnis for Bernard was a good deal. Wish we could send 2 of these guys to Philly for Dalambert. Would love to see him play next to Meka, the blocked shots we would put up would break records.

He has a contract almost as bad as Nene's. 52.6 million $ for 5 years. None of the teams in the league would be willing to absorb it.. except Knicks of course. :)

I'd take Tyson Chandler over Samuel Dalembert.

I'd take Steven Hunter wayyyyyyyy before Sam Dalembert (not only for contract and money reasons but for ability as well). And Hunter is a much better shot blocker than Dalembert.

If you think that Primoz is soft you are going to HATE Twigs Hollins. The kid has some serious hops and can reall throw down - but only ever in an open court when there is no one around him.
He's allows himself to get seriously bullied and doesn't establish position on the block at all.

I find it hard to believe that there are ANY professional basketball players softer than Primoz that don't have the intials K.R.

I just wanna see Hollins get a chance. He'd do a hell of a lot better than Jake, Primoz and Ely.
When you got a 7 foot center with a 40 inch vertical..you gotta find a way a use him.

It useless to have a 40" vert and be 7 foot unless you know how to use it - and he doesn't. Not sure why you are so down on Jake. He's our ONLY enforcer and grunt player who can block shots and as a reliable mid range shot. Ely is a gifted post scorer and ability to pass out of a double team.

i think your killing hollins a little too much. we havent seen him play very much at all. everything ive seen so far tells me he plays with a high motor. and needs to beef up a little more. and as far as wont dunk unless wide open. your dead wrong there, i saw him play in person and everytime he got the ball he was trying to dunk on someone. i agree with wallace. when you got a guy with that atheletiscm you gotta find a way to get him on the court. too much upside to be sitting on our bench behind very average centers.
but for my simple answer.... who needs to go Bernie Bickerstaff. but seriously Primoz Brezec. brezec is a bunhc of trade bait if i ever saw it.

You might not have seen him play very much at all but I watched him all last year at UCLA and I'm telling you, he's not strong at all. And it's not just about him being thin and needing weight. Some people like contact, some don't (see Sene Vs Krstic or Zo Vs Curry).
He doesn't like contact and doesn't fight for position. It's not something that cant really be taught. You either do it or you don't.
Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE for him to turn into a Stephen Hunter type. Lord knows we need someone like that, I just don't see it happening.

He reminds me of a very young Camby . Except he jumps better . Yes hes young and soft. But he had a duble duble in all 4 games he played in the D league this year . This guy has a chance to be good. But he needs playing time either up or down. And with bunch of bigs we have let him learn on the job.
Camby is a good comparison in that they both avoid contact like the plague but Hollins doesn't have nearly the timing or man D that Camby has.
Hollins averaged LESS than 1 block a game during his 3 years at UCLA.
Camby averaged 3.6 at Umass.
Sure Hollins put up some good numbers in the D, but the D is what it is. Theron Smith looked like a talent in the D with 15ppg, 6 boards per game and 3 assists per game and we all know what he was like when he was on our roster!!!

Slam THATS ALL TRUE, Hell Matt came out the the D league too. And look at the way hes playing now. Thats why as bad as our bigs are now give the guy some playing time . If he just cant cut it send back down to the the D league.
But him or the team is getting any better by him just siting thair watching ever game. And as you know after the season starts its verry little time to practice.
Playing in the D and being the MVP of the D are two very different things!!
I agree, Hollins should get some burn for us this year and like I have said, I would rather him get the PT than Harrington.
I just don't think people here and seeing him for what he is and are talking him up too much.

Yes i agree with you . I dont think hes all that . All im saying is give him some playing time see what he can do . If he cant cut it send him back down to the D league. One thing for sure he dont need to just sit.
