View Full Version : Could Sean May develop into an Elton Brand?

They have similar size and body types ( both undersized power forwards ), similar collegiate pedigrees. Both play with a great deal of intelligence. They're both natural rebounders, and given the minutes Sean May has show that he can put up comparable offensive numbers.
Am I way out in left field on this?

They are close to the same player, Brand is stronger and May has a better outside shot. With time and work May will be as good.
Not way out - I do see your angle, but McMay doesn't come close to what Brand can do defensively and is no where near the athlete.

Elton Brand has those long arms, thats a decided advantage that he has.
From an athleticism standpoint I see Brand as an average NBA caliber athlete, not too far away from what Sean could become if he hit the weight room.

I'll lean more towards Antonio Mcdyess in his prime.

Ziggy ive all ways thought they were a lot a like . Built the same in college . But May has a ways to go to catch Brand in the weight room now. To me BRAND is what May could become if May works his tail off in the weight room.
