The Gastonia N.C. news paper stated we were in serious trade talks with the suns about trading ELY . Who or what it didnt say.

I would be willing to trade Ely for Jumaine Jones. He did pretty good for us last year and he's not getting any playing time with the Suns.

Maybe they could put together a package including Ely for Kurt Thomas. He's a decent center who can rebound well.

actually primoz and ely for thomas would be a good for both sides i think. thomas is a good center and also a true post presense that primoz does not provide. okafor can be good in the post but is inconsistent. i think if we could also throw in someone else and extract a first round pick, that would be a victory. maybe throw in a ryan hollins or walter herrmann

I agree. Ely fits the suns mold for high energy scorers. I think it could be done, but we'd have to sweeten the deal, since Amare Stoudamire is a slight injury risk.
