A couple of weeks in with Jeff being on our roster and so far I've liked what I've seen. I wanted a young guard that could back up Ray while BK was out with his injury but instead we got another veteran leader on a young team which is always a good thing. I don't think Jeff has a problem taking a backsteat to Felton he'd be a better mentor to Felton than BK IMO because it seems like Brevin trys to compete with Ray for that pg spot. It'll be interesting to see how the minutes get sorted out when Brevin returns in a few weeks.

Thoughts?

hopefully, BK gets some minutes when he gets back to increase his trade value. then we ship him away for a first rounder. then we can have 2 heels leading the way!!!

I'd like Brevin to recieve some minutes as a BACKUP point, with Mcinnis recieving minutes at both the 1 and 2 (he's 6"4). Hopefully we can squeeze a 1st rounder out of someone.

Good point Jeff could play the two sometimes I wouldn't mind seeing him back up Matt or DA.

I like Mcinnis' game much better than Brevin's. Its odd, because Jeff had the reputation of being a lockeroom cancer but with the Bobcats its been the exact opposite. They have played really solid ball when hes been on the court.

What is wrong with having a lot of players that have played on the same team/system? not to mention that they played for a local team that has more support than the Bobcats have? If you have played in the same system it makes it easier to learn a different one, the team gells quicker and the guys no each others strength and weaknesses. In the Tarheels case, even Jeff and Ray know each others ways because they play together at Chapel Hill all summer long in pick up games.

If we can just find some fools to B.K. and Ely off our hands now. Times running out for that solid player or no1 draft pick. Jeffs done a great job so far and hes a TAR HEEL . As long as we go with ACC players we cant do nothing but win. I would even take some of those Dukies in the league as long as they ACC.

Who else thinks we need a Dukie or two.

Not I, unless it's for Magette, Brand, or deng. Other than that, I don't want any of them, and the ones i listed are either untouchable or doubtful we'd trade for.

I like Magette's game, but no way am I willing to give up Toronto's pick in order to get him.

You right it might be one or two more Dukies i might take . Na you right TAR HEELS rule the NBA.

Yea, cuz there's Mike Dunleavy, JJ Redick, Shane Battier, Shelden Williams, Chris Duhon and many other average and below average players.

Give me UNC players, Uconn players, or Kansas players. Not Dukies.

I hope we get a chance at Brandon Wright in this years draft . He may fall as far as the 6th pick even though hes the best player coming out.
With that 7.5 wing span and all the off and defenceive skills he has .
YES HES another CAROLINA ALL STAR.
ROOKIE of the year why not hes a TAR HEEL
He would be nice to go a long with Felton and May and ok50 yea its a few good ucon players two.

Brandan Wright is more of a Power Forward in the NBA instead of a center, I don't see how he can help this roster if we drafted him.

Now Ziggy , You know better than that Brandon can play the three because hes that quick. The four because of all of that great inside off he has.
And he can play the five because of his wing span .Quick feet and jumping ability. And this guy is strong, Hes a beast in side. We both know with the way he plays hes just a bigger and better K.G. For the next 10 years.
ITS NO WAY PICKING ANOTHER TAR HEEL any one can lose.

I'd take Wright over Hasheem at the moment since Wright is way more NBA ready.

I would take Brandon Wright over Olden or any one else in that draft for two reasons.
1. Hes the best player coming out
2. HES A TAR HEEL

Best player coming out next to the 2nd coming of Tracy Mcgrady, Kevin Durant. Durant is and will be doubly better than Wright for the duration of their careers.

2nd, we have a logjam of players at the 3 and the 4. We need a big guy that is NOT Brandon Wright of all 210 pounds (20 pounds less than Joakim Noah).

Brandon Wright is going to end up being the 2nd coming of Antawn Jamison, just better. A good player none the less, but we'll draft elsewhere unless he ends up being available with the Toronto pick. Hell, he may even stay another year (i know..doubtful).

All in all, Brandon Wright is a 3 or a 4 with more weight, but will never be the true center we need.

oh and by the way, A tar heel a day keeps the dukies away. Eat your vitamins! :D

I think we need to either lessen Brevin Knight's minutes to be as a backup to Raymond or do a trade for a Small Forward/Shooting Guard because we really need backup in that area. Jeff McInnis hasnt done anything too bad yet but i can see him fitting in the team pretty soon.

And yet another person realizes this. Is Bernie the only person that is oblivious to team need? Does he see something in Brevin as being the face of the team that we don't? Does he not understand the business philosiphy of Buy low, sell high?

He seems to be able to buy low and make them worthwhile (Brevin, Gerald, D-Anderson, Primoz, Mcinnis, Matt Carroll, Jason Kapono, Eddie House, Jason Hart - the list goes on) But he doesn't know how to utilize his players, and sell high if needed.

IT'S DAMN FRUSTRATING!!!
