Monday night we'll be facing the Miami Heat with an opportunity to slice the gap between us and the #8 seed in the playoffs from 4 games down to 3. I have a feeling that they are going to underestimate us, so we might be able to use that in our favor.
The problem as always is going to be finding somebody to slow down Dwyane Wade. Shaq is going to be so out of shape that I don't consider him much of a factor, but Wade on the other hand is a tough matchup for any of our guys on their absolute best day.
It should be fun. Thoughts?

The Heat just has not looked good. And looked even worse with the return of Shaq . They not use to playing with Shaq yet. If Bernies is smart he wil run ,run ,run, Would be a good game to atack the lane with Fleton and kick.
Keep a diff person on Wade all night long and make him work. If we have our a game Bobcats by 15 pts.

I believe this is a definite statement maker. If we win this, I think we can be recognized as a legit contender for the weak east.
We should come out running and obliterate their inside. Mek should be mad at not making the all star game and Shaq does. I see a 20/15 game by him.
Felton should also be able to play well. I'd like to say that Crash will do well, but Posey is a good defender.
We win, 98 - 95.

i went to the last game between the heat and bobcats and the refs are too generous with calling fouls in the fourth quarter. wade probably shot 12-15 fts in the fourth quarter alone, and its tough to win a game when the other team scores every time down. hopefully it won't happen again

yea anyone that went to the last cha-mia game knows that d-wade gets ALL the calls...i mean, he drives the lane and finishes, if he doesn't finish he gets a foul called, and if he doesn't drive then he just rains down jumpers over top of us...i think we're going to give them a real run for their money (okafor should DOMINATE shaq) but we just don't have an answer when wade decides to take over the game in the 4th quarter.

I exactly agree with this. But I don't see Bobcats beat Heat tonight. Shaq came back stronger than I had expected. And Wade will get about 15 foul calls.
Either Shaq or Emeka will get into foul trouble early in the game. If it's Emeka, we'll lose. If it's Shaq, we'll have a shot.

i have a feeling this is gonna be a frustrating one. nothing worse than knowin your team is not gonna get calls late in the game.

We are on a roll as of lately and I say we continue that going with a 107-94 win over the heat tonight on the road and Adam Morrison AKA Ammo, Stace, Corpral, and Cry Baby will go off for 35 tonight off the bench

It would be nice to see Emeka have a strong game against the Heat, I didn't realize that the he struggled so much against them. heres a quote from Yahoo.
Bobcats center Emeka Okafor could be in for a long night Monday if recent history is any indication. He is averaging 7.6 points on 6-of-24 shooting in his last three games against Miami.

Gary Payton is suspended for tonight's game:
MIAMI (AP) -- Heat guard Gary Payton was suspended one game without pay Monday for talking back to an official who ejected him during a win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday.
Payton will serve the suspension Monday night when Miami hosts the Charlotte Bobcats.
The incident occurred late in the second quarter on Saturday, when Payton, starting in place of the injured Jason Williams, was ejected by official Mark Davis for arguing a call. Before leaving the floor, Payton leaned in close and said something to Davis. The Heat won the game 117-98.

Final score 113-93.. That was unpleasant. If we are going to make a run for the 8th seed, then we can't afford to lose games like this where we have an opportunity to pick up a full game.

Yeah, we can't afford to lose to teams like Miami, and we can't allow them to shoot 62%!! That's PATHETIC! That's EXPANSIONESQUE! :ranting:
When I checked out the game midway, Miami was shooting 35 of 50. Horrible.

The Heat just played the best game they played all year. They just couldnt miss. We played a decent game but caught the Heat playing thair best. What can you say. We suked, or we cant make the play offs now . Because of one game. We will win the next two and ever body will be up again. We should beat the sixers and portland. Two play good and lose is one thing , to play like crap is another. And i thought we played good and just lost to a better team that game.
That dont mean we cant beat them the next time we play them.

Our D was awful but man Shaq looked like a all-star in that first half. hopefully we can regroup and beat the sixers on wed.

I believe we'll continue our winning trend, we just can't allow 62% shooting. We can do this though!

It's all good guys, Miami will not shoot 62% everytime we see them that's for sure. What was encouraging was that even though they were lights out we fought back in the 4th and made it a game for a minute before Wade got 90 calls and won the game at the line. Shaq should have been doubled from the start, you play him single coverage and get burned, and once he got in the groove it didn't matter what you did.
We should start a new streak over the next couple of games, having a winning streak going into the All-Star break would be huge, and it's definitely possible.
