This was in Rick Bonnell's observations in the Charlotte Observer today

Sean May (sore right knee) sat out Friday's game. The Bobcats anticipate him playing tonight against the Houston Rockets, but May wasn't so sure. He's wondering if the wiser course would be to sit through next week's All-Star break. Either way, coach Bernie Bickerstaff is wondering if May might have to miss a game whenever they play on back-to-back nights going forward.

So let me get this straight, We have a 2nd year lottery pick that is going to have to sit out back to back games from this point forward (and I don't think they were talking about just this season) because he has a bad knee?
You've got to be kidding me, Right?

hmm....can we say GREG ODEN? Bernie is just tanking this season even more.

Bernie is definitely in tank mode... I think if May comes back after the All-Star break and has more trouble out of his knee, then I bet that they shut him down for the remainder of the season, the same way that they did Emeka last year.

If his knee was that bad after last year we should have traded him then while he had some value. He was saying it wasnt that bad he would not be out but 8 to 10 days. [ A bone bruise ] it has to be more . Or its just another way of tanking the season.

The irony is that the reason we were told we passed on Granger (who a lot of us wanted to draft along with Green or Wright) was because Granger was said to have a suspect knee!!

Well Bernie doesn't think we'll make the playoffs, and May is in no rush to return after his previous injuries.
