In this extremely deep draft thats coming up this year, Who do you think will be the flop?
For the longest time, I thought that it was going to be Joakim Noah because of his frame and lack of offensive game, But now after seeing Hasheem Thabeet play a few times, I'm convinced that its going to be him. I know that he's raw, but I haven't seen one iota of basketball ability from this guy. He has size and athleticism ( so does Michael Olowakandi ) but without skills, they don't amount to a hill of beans.

I'm curious to hear who you guys think will be the flop.

Branden Wright, a lot of people think he will be a great pro but i disagree he is too small and I see him being a decent pro but not worthy of a top 5 pick.

i was thinking thabeet too, because he is nothing more than saer sene was last year, big and athletic. brandan wright too has a chance to flop because he is so skinny but he is skilled in the post. he will get pushed around and will have to work farther from the basket. if he gets up to about 230-240 lbs he should be a very solid pro.

i think it will be noah because he has no offensive game, at best he could be like tyson chandler is playing this season. no offense, but can get rebounds and put backs, and receive passes.

corey brewer could also flop because he is so skinny, but if he gets stronger and gets a more consistent jumper he will be a good pro.

i think the best player besides oden and durant will be al thornton who could possibly be a rookie of the year candidate next year

I'l have to go with Thabeet unfortunately. He has the largest chance to fail, but also has huge upside. It's a risk reward factor all the way.

I'll also go with Joakim Noah, he's definitely gonna be a bust.

Haseem while RAW as hell on offense will get a pass because of his defense and rebounds if he does that in the league people will overlook his lackluster offense. I think Noah is a bust waiting to happen he might be a good role player and probaly a consistent starter but def. not worth a lotto pick.

ok stop using "he's too skinny" or small as an excuse for a player to be a bust. they're a bunch of college-aged kids, they aren't grown men like shaq. remember tim duncan in college? he looked a lot like wright does now. brewer will be a solid player too, though never spectacular. with thabeet the jury is still out because like a lot of players his age he has the physical gifts necessary to succeed on the next level, but a large part of it is does he have the mental attitude and motivation to make it? most players don't and i think he'll be a disappointing pick if he goes in the lottery.

joakim noah has very narrow shoulders, meaning he has the least abillity to add muscle/weight. bust power maximized right there. if the bobcats select noah, i will not attend any of next years games in protest. IMPACT PLAYERS NOW! i agree, i think thornton is going to be a good rookie, but right now he's flying under the radar (no clue why) he will fall to some team mid-first round and make them look like geniuses.

Dequean Cook (if he stays in - he's saying he's not going to).

I think he is a Dixon type chucker.

Brandon Wright

He is too soft of a player to be drafted in the top 3 to 5 picks which is where hes being projected.
The grown men in the NBA are going to eat this kid alive.

Hopefully he improves upon that because if he does, he has loads of potential.

dixon is a solid role player. not a superstar like he was in college, but a solid player.

::) maybe you missed my last post...the good thing about young players is that they ADD MUSCLE AND GET BIGGER. i've watched a few carolina games this year, duno why you would think he's soft because he always seems to be in the paint going after rebounds...

Dixon is a chucker who only looks for his own shot and forces his offense - sometimes to the detriment of his team

I think Hansborough of Carolina . With his kind of game hes just to small and slow for the NBA
