Dennis Johnson collapsed and died today. Larry Bird said he was the best player he ever played with. That right there should say enough about his on court presence. I've heard a lot of commentary about the man off the court and he sure sounded like a good man. He wasn't even scouted out of highschool, but still made a huge impact in the NBA. He was a man's man and did the the hard way.

Rest In Peace, Dennis!

His coaching career wasn't a success, but surely he was a great defensive and clutch player. Also he wasn't too old, whichmakes it more sad. RIP DJ.

He was only 52, which is really young to die of a heart attack.
He was an outstanding player, not only with the Celtics but also with the Seattle Supersonics earlier in his career.
