The 2007 movie thread

If you've seen anything recently that you think everybody should check out, or on the other hand if you've seen something at the movie theater that you think everyone should avoid, then tell everyone here.

I'll start by telling everyone who might be tempted to see this movie. DO NOT SEE Ghost Rider.
I was a big Marvel Comics fan as a kid and teenager so I felt obligated to see this film, but I should have saved my $8 and avoided this movie like the plague. I should have know better when I saw that they cast Nicholas Cage as Johnny Storm. :(

I went to see 23 and it wasn't that good. I had the impression after seeing the movie trailer that it was going to be scary but the movie wasnt scary at all.

GO SEE Smokin' Aces it's a really fun movie for the Elevator scene alone it's worth the 7.50.

smokin aces... is great but only if you like silly violence... and i do
very cool feel... but you will definetly suffer from information overload....t hey cram too much into you for a movie.

300 is gonna be sick no matter what anyone says... im goin to see that the day it comes out.

im going to see The Departed tom. at the 2 dollar theatre... anyone think i shouldnt?

Smokin Aces was quite entertaining (I liked when the one guy was playing with Ben Affleck's face.."It's ok, I forgive you" LOL) and the elevator scene was crazy.

300.....all I can say is :bounce8: It's going to be HUGE!

The Departed was fan-fuckin tastic. Jack Nicholson and Leonardo Dicaprio were GREAT. It was my favorite movie of the year. It also has the HOLY SHIT! effect on people (in the theater i yelled HOLY SHIT in unison with about a dozen others)

I'm also waiting for 300, it'll be likely a blockbuster.

A few days ago I saw Letters from Iwo Jima. There are great suicide scenes in it. I don't regret to see it. Suggest you to see.

Another really fun indy movie that came out this year was Undisputed II it's the sequel to the boxing film with Snipes and Ving Rhames. This time around it's a kick boxing/MMA film and it's much better than the first film I suggest yall check it out rent first.

I watched the Zodiac, and it was pretty awesome.


300 though...wow. Just, wow. Now THAT movie is groundbreaking.

ill put it this way. the lead actor in this movie King Leonidas... could take william wallace bend him over his knee and beat him to death with the severed arms of Maximus... thats how bad ass he is

visually gorgeous, solid acting, and just supremely manly

I recently saw 'I think I love my wife'. Its the Chris Rock movie with the insanely hot Kerry Washington. Its a good movie and really funny. But it IS NOT a date movie. All the women walking out of the theater seemed to be mad.
