Now I know a lot of people could not stand another UNC product on the bobcats. however, if the lottery works out the way it should right now, we would get the third pick. Brandan Wright is who i think the 3 rd best player in the draft is and so do most mock drafts. what do you guys think of brandan as a bobcat?

i think it will take time for him to put on enough weight, but he runs the floor great, will try to dunk on anyone, very high energy and a good shot blocker, and that lefty jump hook has not been stopped yet on the college level. i think brandan and okafor would be great together assuming we can't get oden

of course you think wright is the 3rd best player in the draft 123, but i would rather have a player that has proven himself

Wright will be a lotto pick if he comes out this year based off potential alone but I'm not sure if I want him on the Cats roster though. What I've seen from him this year I like a lot but I don't think he'll be as effective in the league because he's undersized.

he is not undersized in height, but in strength. and captaincrunch you are just mad because south carolina hasn't ever made a productive nba player since alex english

amen to that.
The 3rd pick to the 76rs for two of their 3 first rounders. I'd bad ecstatic for 3 first rounders from this draft :)

Another thing of note: Phoenix has 3 first round picks, Detroit has 2 first rounders, etc etc.

With his lack of weight and strength, I don't see where he can really help us for another season or 2.

I'm tired of losing, We NEED one of those top 2 picks.

ZIGGY I agree we need a top 2 pick . But Wright by far is the 3rd best player coming out. He would be productive his first year . By the end of the 2nd year we would have one of the best frunt lines in the NBA.. OKAFOR , Wallace Wright,
Three possable all stars...........No WAY you pass a all star with your third pick.
No i dont care what college he comes from.

Do you see Brandon being a long term power forward, or more of a center once he can put some weight on his bones. (Hanging out with Sean May should take care of that)

I think once he puts some meat on his bones . He could play the 4 or 5 easyly with a 7 .5 wing span . The left and right hand hook shots are unstopable now . Perkins played both the 4 and the 5 in pro and to me hes a carbin copy of Perkins. Hes a ALL STAR of the fucture and easyly the 3rd best player coming out of the draft. The thing is can Charlotte handle that many Carolina boys. I will say he will be better than any of the three Carolina boys we got now.

Hmm, Wright would be alright at 3. BUT PF isn't our biggest need. The way it looks now, the Bobcats will have another 1st rounder in the 20's due to my Raptors making the Playoffs. So we could get Cory Brewer who I'm a huge fan of.

Brandan Wright could grow into a 4, but is a 3 right now. I'd say he'd take May's place as the offensive catalyst for the team, with oaknasty at the center.

I'd draft Horford or Hibbert before the passionless Wright.

I agree. Horford is underrated and will be a stud. (Karl Malone anyone?)

Man, I agree so much. I think that in 5 years time, he's going to be the dude that people look back as the steal of the draft - like they do Wade now from the '03 class.

Funny you put the Mailman forward. I never thought of him but it's a good call. I've been thinking Keynon Martin (the Nets one, without the bung knee) because of his ability to run the court, handle the ball and his exlposiveness.

Why do you like Wright over Horford Zig?

Its pretty close, but I see Horford as more of a can't miss SOLID type of player, whereas Wright has more potential to be spectacular down the road with his athleticism and crazy arm length. If Horford were more dominant statistically it would make my decision easier. I do realize though that Noah and others eat into his stats.
