I don't see why you guys are so excited about Bernie leaving. I believe that coaches are given too much credit when a team wins and take too much of the blame when they lose.

For example if Avery Johnson was to stop coaching at the end of the season, statistically he would go down as one the greatest coaches every. Do we think he is a great coach? No, just an average coach with a great team. You really could have gotten anybody to coach the bobcats this year, and you still have the same amount of wins +/- a couple.

Firing Bernie will not get Raymond's and Ammo's shoot % up or make Primo a better rebounder and player. The Bobcats will not get better until they get better players period.

Bernie isn't the problem really, The same thing is happening with Sam Mitchell in Toronto. He had no players so it looked like he couldn't coach. Now we have players and Smitch is a COYT candidate. If the Bobcats had a solid roster, I think Bernie would be a .500 coach.

I don't think many other coaches would've stuck with that 2 point guard lineup for as long as he did... Thats probably the one thing that turned most of the bobcats fans against him.

I believe that was due to personnel, he wanted his "best" players on the court. And this was before Matt really started playing well.

Bernie isnt a great coach... i cant argue with anything he has done GM wise... cept maybe kevin burleson but whatever.

the bobcats never had a set offense or a style really. they just go out everynight and play hard. which is fine, but its not a championship recipe.

and to be honest... its really more about the exciting change than anything else. Bernie ALWAYS said he would only coach 2 or 3 years, and then head up to the GM office... its been 3 years so its happening just like he said it would.

basically. we are a third year franchise and we arent gonna win a bunch of games regardless of coaching. But bernie isnt (and i dont really think he ever claimed to be) the future coach for this young team. HE raised these players up right to play hard and give the fans effort. and now its time for someone else to push us further. THAT IS ALL

bernie did always get the 'cats to be a scrappy hustling team. i just hope that the new coach will keep that same attitude with the cats. the bad record isn't as much of a reflection of bernie, it is more a reflection of injuries to okafor, wallace and may over the past 2 years. if they were all healthy the last 2 years we would probably win an average of 32-24 games no doubt which is relatively good for and expansion team. as a coach i think we can find an upgrade over bernie, but i like what he's done as a GM, we have cap room to resign our own free agents and pursue others.

Only problem with that theory is Bernie's the GM. If he'd not stuck to his idea that "there is no SG nor SF...only "swing men"" and brought in a legitimate SG we'd not be running a 2 PG lineup yet STILL have the best players on the court.

Steve Smith said on TV that Bernie only had about 3 offensive plays.

Bernie brought a lot of positive things to the franchise and was probably one of the better choices for an expansion team...but in no way is he a "good" coach. He is a classy guy though, and I hope he stays with the organization in some capacity.

Bernie made quite a few blunders
1 . The Rush thing he waits til after the trade deadline .Then just lets him go to get NOTHING in return.
2. The Bogans thing . He lets the starting two guard go for a player who played mabe 10 mins the rest of the year. Then we let him go too and got nothing in return.
3. ThE Jason Kapono thing . We made him no offer at all to stay whitch i might add he wanted to stay. And we made no efort to sign a s/g s/f in his place Bogans place , or Rushs place
4 . He never started MATT til his boy got hurt whitch sets MATT back and it has really set Felton back. Felton never shot under 40percent at Carolina. A year and a half later Felton is still playing the two . But not his position
5. Game befor last he plays Morrison just 17 mins and Carroll about twenty. So he can play his boy 38 mins and his boy scores 9 pts
6. Bernie seems like a nice guy but you cant kiss a average players tail meaning B.K. AND EXPECT TO WIN [ DAMN HE HAD THE RIGHT TO VETO HIS OWN TRADE ]
no player gets that.
7. He was all ways able to get his players to play hard. It could be hes just to nice of guy.

i am happy to see him go. have you seen us play the last 3 years? we are just plain awful and we don't have the best players in the world which might not make it all his fault there defenitly needs to be a change we can't keep losing like this. and watching our team with okafor out we have looked like by far the worst team in the league except for last night when we shot like 65% from 3

I'm excited he's leaving as the coach, but wouldn't mind his personnell skills as GM.

This sums up a lot. The Brevin love, and some blunders courtside were just inexcusable.
